iOS 12.3 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I had the "Messages in iCloud" thing pop up yesterday evening also. Been using it since it basically came out.

It happened to me on my iPad yesterday and now this morning on my iPhone.

Maybe something they are working on server side?

It's not a bug or everyone's phone would be draining. Do a wipe and clean install, or reset your device data.

Unfortunately this is not how bugs work, otherwise software development would be much easier. Do you remember the Windows 10 bug that was deleting users data during the upgrade process? That was due to a bug involving a very tiny percentage of people, so during testing not many people were hit by it, and there were only a few reports of it happening.

At least for me, it is. But a lot of people loved 12.2. I didn’t. I must have a weird phone. lol

I updated to 12.3 beta 1 last night. I’m not seeing the battery drain I was getting on 12.2. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I actually paid attention to it. Not running into any issues so far.

I thought I found gold in v12.2 and thinking this is it, but the call of v12.3beta1 is so strong. Dive into it.
Downloaded this morning and now enjoying the smoothness operation it gave to my oldie Ip7plus.

Don't laugh but as I need to make notes today I am wearing a cotton glove. It allows me to write without the display registering my hand. I thought about restoring but hold out because I signed up for betas. Thanks for the confirmation its not just me.

I only have the issue in Apple Notes app so far. Notability and Nebo work fine.

Thanks. i addressed it for us UK users as we don’t have Apple Pay Cash here and no sign of it being available either. From what I’ve read on the Internet it looks as though it’s there because it’s the beta iOS

I have it in my Xs on 12.2 release so it’s not a beta thing.

I think I finally see the “zoom” animation mentioned above when swiping on X/XS home. I can’t tell if it’s newer than before either, but it does seem different - maybe slightly faster?

Interesting. I sometimes color in Pigment and have the issue there. I almost tried Notability a while back.

I can’t put my finger on it, but feel it’s slightly “bouncier”?? Lol could definitely be a placebo and/or just smoother overall, but something’s different/better about it. I like it.

Don't know if somebody mentioned it already but wrist detection doesn't work for me at all when using Apple Pencil in Procreate. My hand is constantly registered and painting, erasing, doing gestures etc. I'd go back to 12.2 because of that alone, unfortunately my iMac doesn't have USB-C and I don't have an adapter either.
