Yes! Unfortunately, I can absolutely confirm this bug is present in this beta. I installed on my 2018 3rd gen 12.9" iPad Pro and Palm Rejection was a total disaster with the Pencil. I'd definitely hold off until that bug is fixed for any iPad Pro users.

I'm restoring 12.2 as we speak.
Don't laugh but as I need to make notes today I am wearing a cotton glove. It allows me to write without the display registering my hand. I thought about restoring but hold out because I signed up for betas. Thanks for the confirmation its not just me.

Yup, it's broken and I need it so restoring to 12.2
Thanks for the reply. I have been wearing a glove so I can write on my iPad. Ha.

This supposed „redesign“ is for ipads. Not for iphones. Visual overhaul for iphones will be a dark mode but no homescreen update or something else. I think we will maybe see a new notification and control center.

But I really hope I‘m wrong

I agree to an extent, but Apple has always been about branding, so I don’t see them changing the home screen too drastically. It’s always been apart of their “ecosystem” so they want continuity amongst all of their devices. I don’t mind the home screen and understand it’s long overdue for an overhaul, but all I can really see is maybe moving the widgets to a more static place on the home screen that can be “customized” to where you want them, but the overall icons/dock, etc. I assume will remain the same.

Like you said, dark mode is almost a given but to avoid the “looks like Samsung” home screen customization, I think it will still slightly look the same. Same reason why I think we won’t get a smaller notch anytime soon: because it’s recognizable as Apple (if that makes any sense lol)

100%- that icon is horrendous!
can we switch back somehow?

lol if you downgrade to 12.2 then you can switch back, but I guess you don’t plan on updating in the future? As that will be the icon going forward (probably some tweaks here and there, but overall design concept).

I don’t mind it personally and it makes sense as it looks like the physical Apple TV. Original icon was ugly imo + and I’m still not 100% sold on the new News icon, but it is what it is I suppose *shrugs*

You don‘t download first party apps. They‘re always on your device, the App Store download button only unhides/enables them again (uninstalling equals hiding and removing hooks for e.g. map opening).

You probably can‘t enable the videos app again cause it‘s gone with 12.3 in your country (replaced by the TV app). They probably haven‘t enabled the TV app store page for your country.

That’s exactly my point.
I can’t redownload the old videos app, but I’m not able to find the new Apple TV app yet so I can’t have them both. I think that’s an issue right?

Who cares about icons?

It is working for Amex, which is listing your last several transactions just below the image of the card when you select it in Wallet (even transactions that occurred before 12.3). Tap a transaction and part of the detail that comes up is a map of where it occurred. Not so for Visa, which is not showing any transactions at all.

Interesting. I used my AMex at lunch and the location does not show in wallet

The should be an arrow on the right of the details. Click on that and it will show the map location.

What version iPad are you using? On my iPP 9.7 everything is working as it should. No problem with my hand resting on the screen.

Anyone notice that you can edit RAW images in the stock photo app? Is this a new feature? I thought only 3rd party apps like lightroom and snapseed could view and edit raw photos?

Settings app continues to be unresponsive on iPhone XS. What the hell :apple:?

This has happened to me with previous versions of ios 12 and betas. When I tap the settings icon on my homescreen the settings screen opens up, however, it's blank and takes a while to get working. I have reported this to apple in the past.

Using iphone 6s Plus

I believe apps like numbers, pages and keynote are deleted from your device and download again from the App Store. Deleting them free up to much storage space on the device fore them just be hidden

PB installed on my XS Max in the UK.
Handoff from MacBook Air to iPhone is still broken, although it works going from iPhone to Mac?? Go figure. LOL

How is the battery life on the beta? I hope it is an improvement from 12.2. My iPhone 8 didn’t like 12.2 at all as far as battery life is concerned.

There is a huge bug in 12.2.
My 6s battery draining like never before, literally watching the battery percentage drop before my eyes.

They ship with the phone but they aren't true 'first party' apps like videos or TV. Everything that's updated through the app store is no true OS app.

That seems to be the general consensus with those who've upgraded to 12.2 including myself. I'm back on 12.1.4 now. I couldn't take that kind of drainage. It was ridiculous. After installing 12.2 my battery went from 97% health to 95% health. Sadly, even after downgrading to 12.1.4, my health still reads 95%, although I can tell my battery is lasting longer after reverting.

Another thing I noticed is that I haven't heard many people with iPhone X's/Xr's complaining about battery issues with 12.2. Is there anyone who has one of these type phones that has had a negative experience with battery life?

My settings app hasn't had any issues. Do you have all the stock apps installed? I have all the stock apps installed and hid the ones I don't use in a folder. That's all I can think of that may cause the unresponsiveness.

12.2 on 6s, XR, 8+, iPad Mini 4 and iPP (9.7) has been problem free, including battery life.

Hmm....Maybe its just a relatively confined issue to only a small number of users. At any rate, my phone continued to eat up battery the entire time with 12.2, with typical usage. Maybe Apple will issue a bug fix for the affected users, although right now it seems like 12.3 is at the center of their focus.
