When "Major" OS innovations are things such as tabbed finder and Siri now knowing about more sports scores, I can't see what less they could do....
Nothing has been innovative in iOS since 7 updated the UI.
You could use the silent switch. It doesn't prevent an alarm from going off but it will only vibrate instead of ringing.
a redesigned version of its Stocks app
Huh I guess I never knew that. I always wake up before it gets to that point I suppose. No, it doesn’t starts of as a vibration but will go up on volume if not responded too. I mostly keep my silent switch to off but always awaken to my alarms.
I kind of agree, I mean IF they want to stay with a "major upgrade" then they should make it every 2 years but and this is a big but, I would suggest breaking the os in to pieces as Google did, there's no need to make a Major update just to update Safari, or iMessages, they should split services so that they can update single components of the OS without the real need of a major update.Trying to time everything for a once-a-year big-bang release is a very Jobsian presentation-over-practicality move that apparently only he could effectively coordinate. That strategy just doesn't seem to fit the profile of a Cook-led Apple. Just like it did Microsoft over the past few years, some added transparency would do Apple some good.
I do appreciate that smaller features come out through the .1, .2, and .3 releases each year as well, but there's no reason that if something is ready early or needs to be delayed that it _has_ to come out in September with the x.0 release. It made more sense to do things that way when the rest of the world wasn't on such an aggressive upgrade/refresh cycle and products only saw major improvements once every two-to-four years. But now that everything from web browsers to Windows get new features as they're ready, it doesn't make sense to try to fit everything you want to do into a one-year mold and release it whether it's ready or not.
Can someone please tell Apple no one cares about Animojis or emojis use that manpower on something else that people can actually benefit from like the broken notifications.
Yep. The iPad isn’t even on my radar until they add it. So far they’re treating them as personal tablets (except for education ones with multiple users) so I’m not expecting them to.
Siri. Fix Siri.
Ah I don’t use a Bedtime alarm and it’s always stayed on vibrate for me. But they definitely could make these things smarter in that area.Unfortunately it doesn’t. I just tried it and the alarm sounded. I’m sure vibrate was on as I typically make sure it is as well as DND. This was the Bedtime Alarm if that makes a difference.
It makes sense that the Bedtime Alarm ignore these DND settings. But it doesn’t make sense if you’ve woken up, driven somewhere and are standing up and sitting down every few minutes thus making the phone sense motion. The phone wasn’t being much of a smart phone that day.
This really makes me speechless. With so little products to focus on compared to competitors. With all their software development already on a snail pace compared to competitors (one transit in a city per month for example). Apple today seems like a sitting duck with Google and Microsoft firing on all cilinders. What’s going on with this company? It’s not only delivering buggy software but already behind the curve in so many ways. It’s really a shame they don’t invest more of their exorbitant high profits to be on the fore front they once were. I’ll hope they realize this before it’s too late.

Not that I disagree with you, but apparently Apple and its team think, or actually know that their target audience does indeed care about Animojis , else they would focus on something else.
- Simply a notification center not a Lock Screen, don't know what they thought when they released iOS11.
- Grouped Notifications or Notification Channels like Android released on Oreo, it would declutter the notification mess.
Personally, my wishlist for iOS 12+ would be:

1. Notification Center revamp:

- Notification Priorities again a great feature that they would make good use of.
2. Home Screen:
- Unlocked Icon Grid (same grid as it is, but let us place icons where we want on that same grid), lets say i have a home screen with 4 apps, i would want to place them at the bottom so i can see my wallpaper, why not let us do so.
- Maybe allow us use widgets that are on the left and place them on one of our home screens.
3. Applications Manager:
- Give us the option to clear cache of a specific application than can reach more than 1GB like Facebook.
- Give us the option to Reset App so in case a specific app crashes or doesn't work properly, instead of deleting and re-installing it, we can simply reset it.
4. Files:
- Add the ability to create folders on iPhone so we can save files on it instead of just iCloud.
- Add some basic file formats support like zip, etc.
5. Clock:
- Allow use to create Multiple Timers
- Give us the option to set names for Timers.
- Give us the option to choose working days for Alarms.
6. Camera
- Move Camera settings into the Camera App
- Add Photosphere shooting mode
- Add more manual controls.
7. Keyboard
- Add Swipe Typing.
- Auto Fill Everywhere.
- Custom Dictionaries.
8. Battery
- Revamp Battery Menu
- Show more per App Detailed Usage
- Show more details like on Screen time and biggest battery draining app or usage per charging cycle.
9. Siri
- Whatever they do announce here is a welcome, they are behind (Alexa,Google Assistant).
10. Others
- Dark Mode
- App Store Wishlist
- Weather Condition Updates
- Call Recording
- ETC.

So, they will focus on more Emojis and will highlight the weakest feature of the current ecosystem -- Siri.
Sounds like a winner...
