Because it's a beta? Because part of testing a beta is making sure people are on the latest and warning them it's about to expire? Because part of testing a beta is testing the update?

There are a lot of reasons for something like this, few of which are rookie mistakes.

This is a beta. If you play, you take your chances. This is the least significant side effect I can imagine.
Still it’s a rookie mistake that was not tested prior to release or maybe not even properly code reviewed.
Just because it is a beta doesn’t mean developers can slack like that.

Then just delete update from your device. It will stop nagging until next update will come up.

That would only work if I never connect to wifi.

Once I connect to wifi and my phone has enough charge or is plugged in, the phone will download the update again.

iPhone and iPad users who have installed the current iOS 12 beta are being plagued with a continual popup that suggests a new iOS update is available when it's not.

Affected users are seeing the following message: "A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta." The problem is users receiving this message are running the most recent version of iOS and there is no additional software to update to.

Beta testers have been seeing this popup since the latest beta was released on August 27, but over the course of the last day, the popups have become much more frequent.

Many users are now seeing the popup every time an iPhone or iPad running the beta is unlocked or Notification Center is dismissed, and it is a popup that must be manually dismissed each and every time before an iOS device can be accessed.

Developer Guilherme Rambo has suggested that an error in the latest update causes the iOS beta to think that its expiration date is imminent, leading to the popup problem.

Complaints on Twitter and the MacRumors forums are picking up from users who are frustrated with having to continually dismiss the popup, and it's not clear when a fix will be available.

[doublepost=1535768484][/doublepost]This was enough to make me remove the beta profile!

That’s because.

Wait for it....

Drum roll please....

.... it’s beta!

Of course there’s bugs; regardless of version. There’s no ‘shadow’ being cast. And Apple engineers don’t read Mac Rumors forums - so don’t think your words mean anything outside this echo chamber of amateur users. If you don’t like bugs, don’t install beta software. Simple.
Repeat 100.000
“You have (no) SIM card installed”
End repeat

Looks like all the iOS version the were affected by iOS update is now fixed. Got the update and now not seeing so far.

Just upgraded to beta 10. Hope this fixes the problem. It seems to be working.

Seems to be an issue when the beta profile disappears from your phone. I reinstalled the beta and it stopped.

I got rid of this popup by backing up, erasing my iPhone and then doing a total restore. It updated my iPhone to the latest beta software which stopped the popup.

This IS a beta, but is that is no excuse to annoy the user to death. Betas have issues, but constant issues are a major exception like this one

I don’t need unrequested advice on what I should or should not be running. My only question is how do I get out of the beta program?

Um. Well consider it a warning to others considering running a beta. If you run beta software on a machine or device you RELY on, your a fool. You should also know how to remove it before you put it on!

Ha. As someone who's been doing this for 25 years, there's no such thing as a rookie mistake in date math code. THere's only the same mistakes everyone makes.
