The question is...is it only a fix or the update for next week some days earlier?Have a new beta to download...108.5 MB. Developer 12. iPhone X.
[doublepost=1535729395][/doublepost]iOS 12 Developer beta 12 is out!
iPhone and iPad users who have installed the current iOS 12 beta are being plagued with a continual popup that suggests a new iOS update is available when it's not.
Affected users are seeing the following message: "A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta." The problem is users receiving this message are running the most recent version of iOS and there is no additional software to update to.

Beta testers have been seeing this popup since the latest beta was released on August 27, but over the course of the last day, the popups have become much more frequent.
Many users are now seeing the popup every time an iPhone or iPad running the beta is unlocked or Notification Center is dismissed, and it is a popup that must be manually dismissed each and every time before an iOS device can be accessed.
Developer Guilherme Rambo has suggested that an error in the latest update causes the iOS beta to think that its expiration date is imminent, leading to the popup problem.
Complaints on Twitter and the MacRumors forums are picking up from users who are frustrated with having to continually dismiss the popup, and it's not clear when a fix will be available.

I'm starting to get used to the alert. I may end up missing it when it's gone.

This is horrendous, annoying and reflects a lack of attention to detail by Apple. I really hope they fix this before the long weekend.
The fix for the 11 bug is easy, delete the beta profile. then install 11.4.1 on your phone.[doublepost=1535723787][/doublepost]It’s also on ios11 beta too
Thanks for the scolding dad. Again, if you don’t want to experience bugs, don’t install beta software. Doesn’t matter if it’s one away from the GM. There have been much worse bugs at this point in several previous versions. And if you are a legitimate dev (I’m skeptical) then you’d know to install beta software on a non-essential device and not whine about it in amateur forums that have zero effect since Apple and virtually all devs don’t read them. The more you know.First, your attitude this (and towards me, frankly) is horrible. Like I said earlier, this is LATE beta. Almost-released software. It's just silly that a bug like this is there. It happens every time I wake the phone up. So every day, until the final release comes out, I'll bee seeing this. Awful.
Second, I'm extremely well-versed in what a beta is. I've been developing software for over 20 years, and currently develop software for iOS. So, yeah, I'm not some silly inexperienced, user that has no idea what beta means. And from that vantage-point, I'm telling you, this is dumb and shouldn't even be there.
Yep, the update was released and it fixes the issue.16 pages of complaints about this message. And it turns out there actually is a new iOS update available![]()

Nope. Not valid either. I draw the line at the point at which there is an official release.Fwiw I'm not running the beta on my primary device, just my testing devices and it does not make this issue any less annoying while working...
Are my complaints that parts of the Siri Shortcuts API are still broken valid two weeks to launch? Where do YOU draw the line lol?
The fact that you are an experienced developer makes your post even more bizarre. It’s a beta. End of story. When it is NOT a beta then your aspersions become validated. You accepted the terms and conditions when you installed the beta. Why did you do that ? You’re now contradicting your acceptance of the terms ? The positive side of a Tesla pilot car that loses a wheel every time you start it up, is that you can drive along, somehow. Happy driving.Thanks for the scolding dad. “When annoyed, you’re advised to think different. Click OK to complete your Note purchase”Not even sure why I reply to this post, but hey, why not....
This is just slightly annoying instead of potentially injuring people like the Samsung Note did before, the choice is easily made, Apple wins.
