Multiple profiles for iPad. My wife's 6-year old Kindle Fire has this ability and it's great for controlling what apps the kids have access to. Why in the world isn't this a feature on the iPad??

1) Separate alarm volume from ringer volume
2) New homescreen
3) Replace notification badges on homescreen with live icons of some sort
4) Ability to change default transportation to bicycling or ability to change default map application
5) Richer notifications and more notification customizations

the iphone is 10 yrs old..how about giving us the options of changing the square icons to round? i love apple, but frankly, the UI on the phone has gotten stale. also, they need to redo Itunes from top to bottom.

The ability to Schedule an iMessage or Text Message for a specific date/time. Been wanting this for a long long time.

Funny but doubtful that would rise to the top of a community voted list.

iOS already has a dark mode, smart invert, and it works really well. What they need to do, and it addresses your issue, is force devs to code their apps to support it.
Right I’ve tried it but can’t get it enabled because apps don’t support it like weather apps etc..

I'm still on iOS 9 so IDK if this has been fixed,

but holy **** when I'm listening to a podcast but want to change ringer volume I have to quit the podcast app, fix the volume, and then open it again. Please, why God?

Better Notifications on lock screen and on pull down. Right now you have to scroll down every notification received. Can be easy to miss an important one.

Something where you get a tab for each notification type received. So you can then see at a glance what types have been received and can click on each tab to bring them up.

Actually more seriously - what do so many people apparently dislike about the volume UI?

The blurring effect, which also extends to Mac OS volume, screen brightness, QuickTime Player, is very overdone. Looks like an episode of "Cops". These overlays were not annoying when the content was actually visible and legible underneath the overlay.

- Always-on display for iPhone X - Some Android smartphones offer an always-on display, something that Apple could perhaps theoretically enable thanks to the OLED display on the iPhone X, which eats up less battery life. MacRumors readers would like to see an always-on display on the iPhone X for things like the time and incoming notifications, even though it's probably a long shot at this point in time.

Well that’s one way to ruin your OLED display within a week...

iCloud Photo Sharing? You can allow the people you share it with to post to a shared album as well. Would be pointless to have the same Camera Roll as some photos or screenshots are personal to each user. For example a gift... Apple has been doing this for years already.
iCloud Photo Sharing is great for sharing photos between members of an extended family, but it is not satisfactory for many households. I'd like to have a single place where my wife's photos and my photos go, requiring no additional work to create a shared album, sending an invite, accepting an invite, etc. I understand many people wouldn't use it - that's fine. There are many features out there that are not intended for 100% of people.

Option to get rid of swipe bar on iPhone X. I can't stand that thing. You learn to swipe in 30 seconds. Why on Earth does anyone want to see it after that.

If they changed nothing else I would still be overjoyed.

I want the ability to filter songs, so songs with specific lyrics or songs featuring certain artists don't play. This would be a nice add to the Apple Music For You playlists. Also, I want the ability for passengers in a car (i.e. my kids) to send songs, AirDrop-style, to the phone connected to the car's audio. Sort of like a carpool jukebox, to promote sharing of musical tastes.

Lol, a file management system isn't even on the wish list anymore. Either apple succeeded in dumbing its customers or everyone simply gave up after years of waiting.

I want hand writing recognition built into the iOS.

The Apple Pencil works great! Let’s put it to work.
[doublepost=1527118295][/doublepost]I also want to customize the lock screen.

Off the top of my head:

- PUSH for gmail accounts in the stock Mail app (the most important by far)

- (for those of us with excellent eyesight) Display Zoom mode whereby I can see iPhone 6/7/8 PLUS screen content scaled down to iPhone 6/7/8

- Easy way to switch 4k video on/off from the Camera app (say, by tapping the "HD · 60" in the right top corner)

- (macOS) In the Photos app, I want to delete the photo with a single click/keypress. I can easily restore it if necessary, there's really no need to ask, so an option to disable the question would be great.

I want to stop seeing the update notification on my iPhone, NO Apple I don't want to render my iPhone useless I declined this stupid update a million times, enough is enough when will you get it? I don't want it.

How many times have we been trying to finish up a sentence in a text message or an email and a phone call comes in and hijacks the entire screen? And half those times you accidentally press the accept or decline buttons. Would love to see an option to change phone call notifications to display as a banner

Good point.
If the user is interacting with the display they should display a banner, like a notification coming from the top, or at least disable input on the incoming screen for a fraction of a second, so you don't accidentally press one of the bottoms because your finger was about to tap on that area. I'd prefer the notification banner, you tap on it and open the usual fullscreen window.

That feature has been on my wish list ever since I bought my first iPad.
They now support multiple students on a class, so they already made some of the work needed to support multiple users. I'm afraid we'll be disappointed even this year, but you never know...

I think 3D touch needs better integration into iOS. That or they need to do away with it all together.

I think it needs more support in apps, but that's something developers have to do.
I haven't implemented it yet since iPad doesn't support 3d touch and I don't like to have different behaviours on iPhone and iPad, and most of my stuff runs on iPad so that's my primary target.

Also a sorted A-Z list of the apps on your phone outside of Settings would be nice.

That would be great, you can always search for a specific app but the ability to see all apps sorted by tapping a button (something like Launchpad on the Mac) would be useful.
On Apple Watch I switched to the alphabetic order instead of honeycomb as soon as I upgraded my Watch, I don't have as many apps as on the phone there, but having them sorted is the easiest way to find a specific one.

How about a redesigned incoming-call screen? For example, when you receive a call, iOS disregards ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING that you're doing and wants you to make a decision on that incoming call.

There should be a subtle notification type prompt regarding that call that you can; 1)accept 2)reject 3)IGNORE, and still continue to do what you're doing.

Thanks.

You don't know what you are talking about.

Or a floating call bubble like this.
