If your gonna have split screen, make only for the X. as things would be too crammed on smaller devices... you gonna have to start pressing the visual keys with tweezers.

Here's a Hugely helpful no-brainer:

Anytime an auto-correct prompt is over-ridden (ie: No, please don't auto-correct this, it's correct as is) it should prompt to add the unknown text to the dictionary.

Also, a Do Not Disturb setting for No Caller ID calls. Now, there is no way to block them!

Spam calls ? could be good... My parents get too much of this stuff from different numbers. The blocked list keeps getting longer.

I love how everyone does their here’s what I want to sew in the new iOS....2 weeks before WWDC. Both Rene Ritchie and Jason Snell just did something similar. Hey guys how about 6 or 9 months earlier when if Apple sees it they might take it into consideration? What good does it do now when the feature set is locked? Other than raise expectations that Apple of course won’t meet.

Regardless if Apple doesn’t make the changes or not based off what others wishes are, don’t you think at least makes for interesting discussion to see what other posters ideas are? We don’t even know if Apple even reads any of this speculative information on rumored websites. It Also doesn’t mean that some of this information in this article can’t be sent to Apple For feedback future iOS releases or add on features either.

I want a quick Control Center widget to keep the screen unlocked while that button is engaged.

Sometimes I'm reading a recipe or instructions and don't want my phone locking in the usual 30 seconds. It'd be great to toggle that on to keep the phone unlocked until I turn it off or manually lock the phone.

I think most of us understand that many of these features have absolutely zero chance of hitting iOS 12, but it's still fun to create a list for what we wish was in it.

Let me quote messages on iMessage already.
Let me send images on iMessage that self-distruct like on Snapchat

Do Not Disturb improvements like picking fraking days, every Friday evening I get so PISSED!

Play videos in landscape by default even with rotation lock enabled

New volume HuD

Always On Glances on OLED Phones

bring back the categories navigation point on the App Store

Location based settings would be great too like don’t ask for my passcode if I am at home (yes it’s a CHOICE) or disable my work email account automatically once I enter my apartment

A useful Files app would be nice

Passcode to open the Photos app with a activation gesture

mmmh maybe let me put my app icons anywhere I want?

Location-based settings!

Disable my work e-mail notifications while home, and my personal e-mail notifications while at work. Turn on do not disturb while at work. Lock my screen faster while on the go (higher risk of theft), and slower while at the desk.

Connect to the work VPN while on the go. Disconnect as soon as I'm at work. (Conversely, offer to connect to my home VPN.) Heck, let me connect two VPNs at a time (why not? macOS can do it). And offer VPN settings from Control Center.

Speaking of which, Control Center still needs more customization.

I have been loving the document scan features in Notes, and I think they should just be available right from the camera for an easier workflow.

As it is, if you want to start a document scan you have to:

- unlock your phone
- open Notes
- start or open a note
- hit the + button
- choose "New Scan"

This could be streamlined a lot if one of the camera options was just "scan documents"

Or just a "contacts only" setting so that anybody not in your contacts goes straight to voicemail. It's shocking that in 2018 a device with "phone" in the name can't do this!

To expand on customization - i don't care about colored message bubbles or themes, but would like to be able to set different notification sounds on a per app basis. Similar to how notification sounds can be changed for system notifications.

Some apps have their own sound, which is fine; but when the majority of apps use the sytem's default notification sound, it's always a guessing game of which app is causing the notification. This should have been implemented a long time ago. (And it would encourage sales of notification sounds on the iTunes store!)

-A Good Music app.
-Wide/multi-page spanning wallpapers. PLEASE already
-Refine, refactor and simplify the UI

EDIT>>At this point, I realize it's hopeless to want a redesign of the human-interface-guidelines and GUI in general of iOS on the iPhone.

It would be nice if they brought back the older interface. It is the only reason I use Cessium today, despite its bugs.

Playback and scroll controls in Apple music can be more centralized.
We dont need to go to a seperated pop up screen/ui to have control ..
Sliders and position markers can be incorporated in title rows.

AS for AI

Apple AI is embarrassingly behind… starting with Basic spell check ! yes spell check, such basic and ancient feature, yet its dismal and their ego wont even allow them to reasses and improve it…… predictive and spell check live in two disconnected universes and both are dumb as can be relative to the competition …..
Then come more complex issues of Contextual Word Recognition, Speach Recognition, Contextual Understanding, Search, Personalization and the dismal Digital Assistant called Siri…………and coherent, comprehensive implementation of All across the Apple ecosys… (at this time all are disjointed and sporadic)

Anyone believe Apple will wow and impress is in this area at WWDC?
Im not holding my breath... but im am Praying.

Alarms. Total disaster. Snoozing and stopping an alarm. It’s like every function of the alarm was designed by different teams in different countries for a different product. Do you hard press, pull down, swipe, and when you’re just waking up....awful.... awful....awful.....

I'd like an option so the phone is locked vertical but plays videos horizontal without unlocking/locking back up every time.

Play videos in landscape by default even with rotation lock enabled

Been praying for this feature since iOS 7 lol. It's like the simplest feature to add - coding wise. Just don't understand why :apple: hasn't added this feature. Does Tim Cook never need to rotate a video?

Been praying for this since the iPhone 3G and the built in YouTube app lol
