Fix the horrible Apple Music app.

Try adding six songs from an album to the "Play Next" list. Chances are that you fail, you tap on a song too quickly, and it deletes your "Play Next" list playing that song instead. Use a stopwatch and find how long it tastes you. It is the most infuriatingly stupid UI I have ever seen. In iOS 9 this wasn't a problem at all.

Apple Music continuously forgets what music I want to see. Most of the time I want to look at albums downloaded to my phone. I switch to the settings I want, and as I watch it switches back. It's ridiculous.

On iOS 9, on an iPhone 5s, I could see about 15 albums. On iOS 11, biggest iPhone, I can see six albums. With _really_ big album art. There are a few hundred albums on my phone, so I'm scrolling forever. It's just plain stupid.

For security and universal performance, Apple should require 3rd party apps to run on its server system.

I'd like
• better call blocking of solicitation calls
• to pick default apps for common uses — I really want Google Maps as my default.
• lots of bug fixes
• better notification center
• for Apple to really start working on making Siri competitive with Google.

iCloud Notifications would be brilliant. But right now something like that doesn't even seem to work with iCloud functionality itself. For instance, if I get an iCloud email and read it on my iPhone, the badge count is still there on my iPad. What's weird about this is I could have swore that when Steve Jobs showed off MobileMe that it did this, and when MobileMe first came out it would keep all of the read statuses in sync across devices before having to open the mail app. What gives?

I'm also surprised to only see only two items listed for iPad. Off the top of my head I can think of further improvements to the Files app to make it more robust like Finder, the ability to connect drives with the USB adapter and copy files back and forth, further expansion of keyboard shortcuts, a sort of "3D Touch" and additional functionality for Apple Pencil, Low Power Mode for iPad, and multi-user support for families who can't afford to buy a pile of iPads or just want to buy a family iPad for their kids to use in the living room. As a long-shot I'd like to be able to let my iPad do more background tasks. For instance, it's ridiculous that while using my iPad Pro I can't go do something in another app while Lightroom Mobile is syncing all my photos over. The iPad has a beefy battery so let it run background tasks for longer—perhaps using ML to determine the impact of the operation on battery life and cut it off after a certain point depending on a number of factors (if you're near a time of day you usually charge, if you're at a location you usually able to charge, how much battery life is remaining, how much battery life you started with before the app began draining the battery, etc). I'd also like to see more ability to automate certain tasks on the iPad.

Furthermore, Mail and Reminders need to be overhauled or perhaps integrated in some way so I can actually use them to GTD. My dream would be ML being able to figure out when to remind me. For instance, say I get a quote from my electrician in an email and I need to respond in some way. But it's a complex issue and I need to call them back about it to describe a part in detail. It would be great if iOS could tie their contact info into Maps and know when the company closes, then look for holes in my schedule later in the day when I'm likely to be in my office and remind me to call them when I'm able to sit down and take care of it. Having to juggle between Siri adding things to my lists and syncing everything with Things because Reminders sucks and moving emails into Things as to-dos and everything else is just a huge PITA. What iOS really needs is to fix the hundreds of sharp little edges that annoy us throughout the day and degrade our productivity.

Also I want a freaking regular expression call blocker, lol. I get calls all the time from spam systems that start with my area code and first three digits of my phone number. I want to block all of them. I live in a different area code so it's very unlikely for me to get a call from my own area code, much less the first three digits of my phone number. Spammers use this to confuse people and get them to answer. ML should block these, or they should give us a field where we can make our own filter, BUT they'll never do that because it's too "geeky" of a feature. But call blocking needs to be dealt with on a better level.

Regarding shake-to-undo, I find it not responsive enough. I usually have to violently shake my iPhone in order for it to work. I think it's a fine idea, but maybe allow the user to adjust the amount of force necessary.

Improved Siri AI is on the top of my list. Everything else is rather decent. Siri just annoys on too many occasions (and products).

Being able to doc your phone and use like a desktop sounds very interesting. At first I thought the android version of this was a bit of a gimmick, but with the power of the A series processors, this could be useful.

Has anyone else noticed that the close/minimize/maximize buttons on the Messages app are a darker color than the rest of the OS' UI buttons. I hope that minor oversight is fixed.

EDIT ! Sorry I thought this was the macOS 10.14 thread.

Couldn’t care less about any of these features. I just want bug fixes, especially to the UI.

Looking over the list a good number of them have (like Android) on them. Competition is good, each side honors (steals) from the other side. Let's all be honest, there are a lot of good ideas on Android. I know the standard answer -> X did it first but Apple will do it right.

Regardless if Apple doesn’t make the changes or not based off what others wishes are, don’t you think at least makes for interesting discussion to see what other posters ideas are? We don’t even know if Apple even reads any of this speculative information on rumored websites. It Also doesn’t mean that some of this information in this article can’t be sent to Apple For feedback future iOS releases or add on features either.
Sure but not 2 weeks before WWDC, unless it’s a discussion of solid rumors from Gurman or something.

For me, all my Apple hardware is a 9 or 10. MacBook Pro, Apple Watch, iPhone X, etc. But the software is 6/10. They really need to double the staff in that dept.

iCloud Photos Library needs to support multiple, primary users! I can share my iCloud storage space with my wife, but it'd be nice to share a library we can both dump photos into from our devices. Google has had this for a year now - time for Apple to play catch up (so sad they weren't ahead on this one). BIG feature request from all my friends and family who have young children.

I don't think this list is about being first, copying, or any of that other fanboy stuff. This is just people wanting a better experience with their Apple stuff. Personally, default app choice is my number one desire for iOS... followed closely by an app drawer to get rid of the grid of apps.

iCloud Photo Sharing? You can allow the people you share it with to post to a shared album as well. Would be pointless to have the same Camera Roll as some photos or screenshots are personal to each user. For example a gift... Apple has been doing this for years already.

agree. i feel like sometimes i didn't shake it enough. by that time i feel like i'm quicker to double tap > select > delete.
