Be warned everyone - I've just installed the new WatchOS and now it appears to want my iPhone to also be updated to iOS 13. My Watch will now not work until I'm running iOS 13. Seems weird that it let me install WatchOS in the first place without telling me.

I just noticed an iTunes update being offered. Did everyone upgrade to new iTunes before trying to upgrade? I'm still downloading

This is how watchOS betas have always functioned. You need the newest version of iOS to use the newest version of watchOS.

Optimized battery charging
A new option helps slow the rate of battery aging by reducing the time your iPhone spends fully charged. iPhone learns from your daily charging routine so it can wait to finish charging past 80% until you need to use it.

I wonder how that will work with the Smart Battery Case?

WatchOs is more dangerous to install if something goes wrong your going to have to send it to Apple I never liked testing Watch OS beta until around Beta 4 or 5 if not 6 depending how stable it is

I imagine a day where an Apple Watch will not depend on an Apple iPhone.
