the volume button on the iPhone is messed up for sure I cannot tell you how many screenshots I've had to delete off my iPhone I always hated it since they moved the standby switch from the top to the side - Jobs would have ripped someone a new a$$hole for putting that in.

I wish they implement “Weekdays and Weekends” for DND. Or at least allow for DND to be set for individual days, in advance. For eg. I want DND to be on between 8-5 and bedtime on weekdays, but only for bedtime on weekends.

Why are they adding dark mode? No one wants it And no one will use it if it comes out.. what a waste of billions of dollars to develop it
[doublepost=1555682563][/doublepost]Actually, you are dead wrong. Millions of iPhone users want dark mode because we enjoy a bit of customization on our devices. Apple has learned that it can bring many Android people over to IOS if it lets them add apps they really love, like Gmail, Google Maps and Swiftkey, to name just a few.

Imran Chaudhri - who worked at Apple for over 20 years and is on most patents for the iPhone UI - says the company worried about screen-time early on but the App Store and profits won the day.

Chaudhri talking about his time at Apple and expressing his own regret that “we were very late to some of the things that have impacted people in the attention economy,” such as concerns about users, especially children, spending too much screen time on their iPhones and iPads. In the early days of designing the phone, “we talked about the idea that you can limit the amount of screen time, and we had an awareness that this was going to be an issue for a long time. The motivations behind not doing it were propelled by the App Store economy,” he said. He explained that the company’s profit motive—getting more users to download more apps—outweighed concerns about the potential impact of all that engagement.

Yes, I want a new Reminder app that is synced with the Calendar app! I want to easily see my "tasks" for the week and see which reminders are scheduled for which date.

This. I don’t like having to use 3rd party apps just to see my due date Reminders overplayed on my calendar.

Dark mode will be great, but it means Apple is going to work hard to improve gray uniformity at low brightness, which is a current pain point for their displays. Let's face it, dark mode will be dark gray mode, not black mode, so they are going to need to make sure they can deliver displays that can do dark grays at low brightness and be very uniform.

An ipad isn't a computer replacement and never will be - fundamentally different use cases. It's primarily a device for content consumption, not content creation. Apple claims that it is because of their steadfast refusal to build a touch enabled mac.

that's stupid of them
