iOS 14 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Lately apple has been experiencing disappering interest from my dollars resultant from iOS 13. Honestly cant wash enough of that bad taste out from the last year and ****** quality from them.

I’m having a really random issue since updating to B4.

My iPhone 11 Pro is stuck in a constant boot loop when charging but ONLY when it is sat on my Apple iPhone dock. If I plug it in directly to the lightning cable then it’s fine.

Widgets are working much better in beta 4. Specifically, the calendar widget is now able to access my work Exchange calendar, which is great. Animations seem smoother too. iOS 14 beta cycle has been great for me, so far.

Ever since beta 3 I have been having problems receiving phone calls. Rebooting the phone fixes it temporarily but then it comes back. All calls will do this. Anyone else?

Try to disable or enable VoLTE.

Mine always accessed my calendar (all of them) just fine.

Files app is now fixed for me (getting access to my OneDrive personal folder and my dept shared folder). That's a win!

I’m shocked that the Photos app still screws up the order of any pictures that you try to send via the Share Sheet / Messages. Very frustrating.

I decided downgraded from ios 14 beta 4 back to ios 13.6 and the quality of my airpods pro has significantly improved.

Anyone else having issues with the mics on your AirPods? I can listen to Music and they work fine but I can’t record voice notes or use anything that requires the mics. I’ve tried Turing off
Sound recognition, repairing them and I’m out of ideas.

In these two weeks, I realised how painfully slow Haptic Touch feels in comparison to 3D Touch that works near instantly. Long-pressing on icons is okay and tolerable, but the loss of functionality and the workaround needed to regain it using Haptic Touch (swipe, tap, then tap again on the options) is really clunky. 3D Touch did not need killing..

I loved 3D Touch and I miss it very much. But looks like Apple needed to remove the hardware from the screen to meet the future features roadmap...

This is the first beta of 14 that hasn’t been good for me.

• Worse battery
• Noticeable heat
• Random system hangs
• Camera often does not work from lockscreen, requiring a restart
• App updates are exceptionally slow

This could be bad timing but anyone in the North East USA CT/NJ/NY the reinstate era and have T-Mobile. I don’t have service anymore in my house? Yet i have service outside but it’s 2 bars??? I did the beta update and than we had a huge northeaster slammed

anyine else have T-Mobile or sprint and have been having phone issues? T-Mobile says or denying any issues??? Yet sometimes I’m not even able to make calls? Not sure if phone or other issues? WiFi at my house works great? I just have.... 4 dots for where LTE signal should be lol!

Facebook crashes 100% of the time when refreshing the groups tab. Also lost all LTE/cell service this morning until cycling airplane mode. Both reported in the feedback app

Sheesh...that wasn’t a nor’easter, that was a near hurricane. People are without power everywhere in the tristate area. I’m sure TMobile will get this fixed in time and it may simply be that their network is slammed because all the people who don’t have power at home are using their phones for info.
