I actually think I may have found the issue on my iPad. The issue I was having was that I could start the night with it charged to 100% and then wake up in the morning, and it would be in the 30% range. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary when checking battery statistics and what apps were working in the background, but just as a test, I deleted Google Maps. The only significance to Google Maps is that in terms of app size...it was one of the larger ones I had. It was yesterday that I deleted it. I went to bed last night, once again with a 100% charge. Woke up this morning...at 98%.
The weird thing about it though was that Google Maps did NOT stick out like a sore thumb in my battery statistics, so...well...I don't know what the heck happened

It also doesn't explain the drain on my phone, since I don't have Google Maps on there. But again, the drain on my phone isn't to the extreme that my iPad was experiencing.
