iOS 14 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Sorry, I have not been able to read all posts but does anyone have wallpaper in Carplay now? I don't like it; the labels look ugly and the wallpaper reminds me of Android.

I’ve also had the AirPods call problem. Have to switch to phone then AirPods a couple of times for it to work. Interestingly, the problem also occurs on my Sony headphones so it may be a Bluetooth thing.

I was lucky enough to not get the keyboard disappearing problem unless I swipe down from a notification and start typing. Then it disappears randomly.
I’ll have an overnight reboot every once in a while but it seems my iPhone 11 Pro Max is otherwise working very well on the latest beta. Good battery life too.

On mine, the alarms do actually go off, but they don't make any sound or vibrate. I've restarted but it happens again the following day. Have you come up with any workarounds?

I see the change late at night. I guess makes sense as not too many people need to see the hourly forecast when they’re most likely sleeping. But the text forecast gives me the temperature in Celsius not Fahrenheit so that bug hasn’t been fixed yet.

I’m glad they re-added the headphone icon to the status bar.

No matter what I do - spotlight search still never shows apps - I hear this is a problem before iOS 14 but no fix works... if anyone has suggestions let me know! (On both ipad and iphone)

(Ive reinstalled, restarted, reset, disabled Siri and search, closed all apps, and way more)
 
They need to fix the weather widget because it’s incomparable for people with vision disabilities because I need my text size somewhat big and prefer to screen zoomed, I can’t see the forecast only the time of day and the icons.

The bug that occurs with the Camera seems to get resolved when I take my AirPods off. Someone has mentioned in the forum that they’ve been seeing the issue with AirPods Pro, but I can confirm that the same thing goes for the standard AirPods.

Got a call (2 now) while I was listening to music and if not for looking at the screen or my watch vibrating, I would not have known I was receiving a call. No ring through.

So I don't know if your question ever got answered, but I've been having this problem, too, and I feel like it was even in iOS 13. I can't click links that are sent to me in messages if I use the "message preview" option, and if I try to reply from the notification, I lose the text box, the keyboard, or both. It's a real pain.
 
I’m at 74 apps and counting that have not updated. Hope they get this sorted out soon.
 
Wish the weather widget stayed like this. Works well when text size is large and screen is zoomed and not standards.

Yup had the same issue. Beta 4 didn’t bring it back. Thankfully an erase / restore brought it back.
 
Not sure if this is a 14 thing or a b4 thing but when downloading new apps, they don't go to the last app page or open spot anymore. They only go to the app library. Does anyone know if this is a bug or if it's on purpose?

It’s on purpose. To change it head to settings then Home Screen
 
looks like the storage bug isn't fixed yet. My storage went up to 35 GB and the phone was full (64 gb iPhone 11 Pro)> had to take a back up and then erase all content and settings again! This has got to be the worst bug of them all because it doesn't seem to have another method to fix it as of now.
 
The last two nights in a row I've put my 11 on Airplane Mode going to bed a have seen Zero battery use in the morning. Previously on 13.6 I'd see 4% battery drain over night.

Been that way since B1, it can be changed back, as per post 496 :)
 
Hi Guys,

Is there anyone who faced True Depth Sensor software issue? I'm sure there's no hardware error. Because of that, I cannot use Face ID and portrait camera mode.

Face ID setting says that move your iPhone a little lower/higher.

Device: iPhone X / iOS Public Beta 3 & 4
