Is Haptic Touch really slow for anyone else in this beta? I just don’t remember it being quite so slow.

I noticed it too. 3D Touch seems faster than ever, but then when I went back to trying only Haptic Touch, I thought to myself "Wow, I didn't realize it had been that slow the past 2 weeks (that I didn't have 3D Touch)." I thought it was just the comparison of 3D Touch vs Haptic that made it seem so slow.

So far so good on all 3 devices. Weather widget is working, thankfully!

- 11” iPad Pro
- iPhone 11 Pro
- Apple Watch Series 5 LTE

Edit: as mentioned above, the only one somewhat issue is slower (barely noticeable) Haptic Touch.

Eesh. 2020 iPhone SE is now 4 for 4 on entering recovery during the update process. As long as this time goes exactly like the last three beta installs did...in that I haven't lost anything in any of the previous betas, then I'm ok. It's just more of an annoyance.

Was hoping that might be fixed this time, but I checked my Feedback for this issue before updating. For similar reports, it states "more than 10", and for resolution...it still says "open". Fingers crossed for next time!
Also on an SE 2020 can confirm this.

Where is this information on similar feedback supposed to be? I’ve never seen anything like that in the feedback app.

Does anyone know if the control center problem is fixed? I don’t think it’s even listed as a known issue but I submitted feedback about it.
Control center seldomly opens for me, usually requiring a reboot if it last over 10 min. I’m still on Beta 3 til the public one comes out. Beta 3 has been the worst at this problem but it has always been present.

This annoyed me so much! It’s a bit too early to tell if it’s fixed for good, but so far the Control Centre has worked every time for me. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

Are these “Product Improvement” location services activated for anyone? I’ve never turned them on and they’re still pinging for location everyday.

Has anyone encountered the bug that when using the AirPods Pro, you can't hear or make your voice heard in the phone app with it?
If you have, and hopefully have a fix, please kindly advice, many thanks.

Can't say it's "fixed" because I never experienced it. Still don't.

I had a problem (not the same as yours) trying to connect them to my Xs Max earlier... even though they connected (got the tone through the AirPods), my phone would not show them as an option. I put them back in the case, waited a minute or two, and then put them back in my ears and the phone automatically switched to the AirPods... they've been fine ever since.

Thank you so much -- but I did do an AirPods reset (including a Forget This Device) and a restart of my phone.

I have the same problem as you, my workaround is to switch the audio output device to the speaker and switch back to AirPods pro.

Does anyone else find it incredibly difficult to set an alarm?

Setting an alarm for my Apple Watch is intuitive and easy. I always like to set-up a backup alarm though, and I’m really struggling with this new layout.

1) You tap “edit” at the top left, then select the alarm you want to edit, and it defaults to the current system time rather than the alarm’s existing time. If I’m editing my 6:15am alarm, I don’t want it to change to 10:18pm as the default when I enter the editing screen.

2) You need to tap into the hour slot and then the minute slot in order to change them. You can set an hour AND minutes if both appear in orange, but this is NOT the default if you tap once onto the time.

3) It’s super difficult to understand whether the toggle is set to AM or PM.

Is this new? Or has it been like that b4? I noticed from the lock screen on my iPad. I can slide in. And access my widgets. Without unlocking the device

Has anyone that had the Netflix download issue tried it on this beta? Last beta, half the time I would give me an error when downloading a show or movie, and the ones that did download had playback issues, freezing, audio suddenly cut out etc.

found a thread on reddit all about it as well. Just wondering if this has been fixed

Can anyone who was having frequent system crashes on previous betas confirm if it’s been fixed?

So far, it seems like it, but then I installed an hour before going to bed, and I've only been awake for an hour. Will update later on.

It's incredibly disappointing. As a paying subscriber it seems like I should be able to use a public beta and access this feature. :(

Nope.

I missed 3D Touch so much. That’s why I’m upgrading to an Xs Max instead of an 11 Pro Max. Once that’s reached the end of its life, I’ll have to bite the bullet and move to long press.

Why delay the inevitable?

Looks like it needs 20 minutes or so to refresh.

Try removing the weather and clock widgets and put them back on, they should then behave, accordingly to the below (though weather might take longer than expected).

Yep. I submitted a bug report for the first thing you have mentioned - it makes more sense the time picker to show the time the alarm has been set for, rather than the current time.
But yes, in general, I don’t like the way it’s implemented in iOS 14. I can never understand if hours or minutes are active.

The memory management seems to be god awful on this beta. At least on my XS Max. I just have to leave the browser, quickly check the mail app, back on safari and my tab will reload
