Did you make sure Watch unlock is turned on? I had to turn it back on in passcode settings after updating. Both iOS and Watch is updated on Beta 2 and it is still not working. UGH

Yup, I did that and tried every on/off option I could think of. Still the same 'unable to communicate' error.Did you make sure Watch unlock is turned on? I had to turn it back on in passcode settings after updating.
yup, this feature has too much restrictions/conditions for it to unlock:Right? Even though the Apple Watch unlock is pretty good it doesn’t work maybe 20% of the time for me… having Touch ID as a backup would be great
I installed beta 2 on my iPhone 13P, went into “Face ID and passcode” and now the option to “Unlock with Apple Watch” (AW6) works properly. Made sure the watch was unlocked and connected naturally. This still didn't fix it for me. I am updated to the beta 2.
Yeah, I know,,,,It's I got spoiled and it's been so convenient, especially I use an alphanumeric password. Truth is, I'll live as will all of the other people too.hopefully not. Apple hopes to have security update 15.0.1 first out, and that one may have the FaceID fix for iPhone 13.
Normally .1 update is about two months after initial OS release, and considering this has SharePlay and other big feature not in initial release, Apple will want to make sure everything is running smoothly before launch.
besides, 15.1 is NOT ready for prime time. Still too many bugs to be released, like iMessages photo bug (which Apple is aware, but taking while to fix)
worse case scenario, mask fix will be on 15.1. Two month isn’t long. And putting in passcode is not that hard. Just minor inconvenience.
