I had to force myself to install the beta, as the mobile data stopped working on 15.0.2 all of the sudden (resetting the network settings didn’t help).

Unfortunately, the two-stage unlocking bug that I reported on the 13PM is not fixed…

Is anyone able to confirm whether “shared with you” photos are now appearing in the photos library? IE any photos sent in messages should appear when “Yours & Shared” is selected in the main Library. Still doesn’t work in 15.0.2 (oh what a surprise!) Ta.

No need to unregister device. Just don't install the profile back and you will be off the beta channel. And you have to restore iOS first not just your backup. The backup is just your data/settings not the OS. Once iOS is re-installed then restore your backup and you should be set.

BTW may want to give it some time to settle before jumping to the conclusion that the beta is draining your battery. Typically it takes some time before the battery usage settles down due to things going on after an update. I would give it a day or two then decide. And maybe a quick reboot.
Thank you!

You are correct, of course. I was a little to quick, thinking about going back.

All I’m noticing is the total number of photos changing when I swap between the two options. I saved a photo sent to me as a test and I see it when either option is selected of course, since I actually saved it to my photos. So yeah, I don’t think this feature is working correctly.

Thanks, so even with the biggest update since the original **** show that is iOS 15, this new feature still doesn’t work it would seem. Gobsmacked at how crap this software is (in my experience).

I was having the most bizzare bug on 15.0.2 that b4 fixed... Basically if I connect my airpod pros to my phone i can't open any music related app (spotify, sirius xm, youtube, etc) without it just crashing on repeat and eventually my phone will just go into a bootloop. I actually thought it was a hardware bug and took my phone to apple who replaced it thinking it was hardware also. Once I got home with the new phone I realized it does the exact same thing. So as a last resort i ipsw updated to b4 and it fixed it... Such an odd bug that it randomly happens to me with 2 different phones.

They are for me 15.1 b4.

Edit: Started functioning normally after about 10 minutes… weird.

Safari Favorites Bar stopped working after update for me. It’s there, but you can’t click anything. Anyone else?

This issue re-emerged today. Tried the suggestion of swiping away all apps and restarting the iPad. Still not working.

Mine worked fine on both iPad and iPhone until the full public release of iOS 15 and they both stopped working.

So you are saying, if anyone sends you a photograph in iMessage, you will then see it in your photo library automatically? Assuming of course you have the “yours & shared” option selected in photos app. Ta.

I’m on 15.0.2. I was wondering the same thing. So I had a friend take a few pictures of us together, and she sent them to me via iMessage. After plugging in both the iPhone and iPad overnight, the “Shared with You” section appeared on both devices.

No photos taken separately by friends have appeared. I’m guessing the section only shows up if you’re present or nearby when the photo was taken.

Reposting her as feel a BETA tester may be able to report the bug for me.

So last year I switched my default browser to Chrome. I got fed up of using chrome on my PC and safari on my iPhone and found syncing passwords from keychain was not great. So now chrome does the lot for me.

For years I have added some of my favourite sites to my Home Screen as shortcuts. I find this an easy way to get to everything. The workaround in iOS14 was to create a shortcut which I placed on my home screen and launched the url in chrome. This was even better than the old safari method as I could make my own icons. For example I have a link to macrumors, and have set their logo as the icon.

Since upgrading to iOS 15, I now get a privacy banner when I try to launch one of these URLs which says ‘Allow “MacRumors” to share data with (null)?’
I then have an option for allow or do not allow. The presence of the word null indicates to me this is something not working as intended. I’ve checked the Privacy Settings, tried turning a few things off and on and nothings worked. I’ve checked and it behaves the same for both http and https links too.

That seems to be the case. I can’t vouch for every photo though. Family shares a lot of them…

You can report the issue yourself via the Feedback app. To get to it, simply type “applefeedback://“ (no quotes) in the Safari URL bar.

No one should really be reporting other people’s bugs, as relevant device data for the affected device is not included in a proxy report. They need to see the whole picture in order to determine what is causing the issue.

Battery Loving that flat chart while I slept last night. Focus was on.
How you do that? What iPhone do you have? My iPhone 12 mini is discharging fast overnight.

I don’t think that’s the case, according to the blurb anyway from Apple, any photos sent in messages should automatically appear in that new section. Just like they do with web links should in safari (which also no longer work) And as I say it worked perfectly up until the public release of iOS 15. I don’t know anybody that this definitely works for 100%.

The high consumption of "System Data" that I was experiencing until now, seems to have been resolved in this beta 4. Now it is between 3.5 and 4Gb, as in iOS 14 ^^

Seems to be working OK for me on iOS 15.0.2. They appear in the Library with a little speech bubble icon.

Yup, that’s the one. That’s what mine used to do. Glad it’s working for you. Hopefully it will work for me with the next update, I just have my doubts.

I seemed to have fixed a few issues with battery, crashes when editing the contact photo in iMessage, Find My overnight battery drain

- Backup the phone on the mac
- DFU and did a full install
- Restore from backup
- Reset all settings

Adding the airtag back tonight to see how it goes

Just make sure at least 2 tabs are open then all the favorites bar items respond In all tabs. If you have only one tab or start page they don’t respond.

Open more than one tab then the favorites bar will work normally in all tabs.

Thanks for this. Was driving me crazy trying to figure out why my favorites bar would not respond. :)

I haven’t been following the betas since 15 came out - did they fix the bug where Mail incessantly asks for a password? It’s been driving me nuts. The bug report says more than 10 have reported it and it’s still open so I guess they’re still working on it, but I didn’t know if it was fixed in these betas already.
