I reported a bug on iPadOS that I haven’t heard talked about yet. When I reply to an email and hit ”send” the email is sent and it closes the program. Anyone else having this issue?

Can anyone tell if photo apps bug is fixed?

in previous build, when you browse, scroll or zoom photos in default app, the CPU will get up to 75% or more. Like in 5 mins, your phone will get warm

I can reproduce the calendar lag/stutter issues and they’re severe for me and only occur with Exchange/O365 based calendar events. If I temp disable display of my exchange based meetings and only show iCloud, calendar is fast and responsive during scrolling and opening meetings. Switching display of my exchange based calendar entries back on and its bad, very bad - scrolling is near impossible.

Also, Apple states in my bug report that, “Potential fix identified - for a future OS update”.
I have Outlook.com calendar (consumer), school calendar (O365) and a subscription to work calendar; as soon as I remove the subscription, the problem goes away. Alas, that is also the calendar that I really want to have (especially on my watch) so that's my workaround - view my calendar mostly on the watch.

Also - my bug says "more than 10" as far as similar reports but no mention of possible fix as of yet... 🤷‍♂️

“Gosh…every time I jump off a 100 story building with my phone, it breaks. Can you try this in Beta 4 to see if it still does that?”
It works for me on b4. Myself and the phone both glided gently to the ground, enjoying the view on the way. I have an iPhone 11. I suspect the extra weight of the 13 Pro is causing the issue.

Mmm I think it is. The letter at the end of the beta version indicates how stable and ready it is, as far as I know
No.

The letter at the end of the build number stands for the number of revisions (or compiles) for that specific build-number. First build of let’s say „19B5068“ in this case would be 19B5068a. If a major compilation-error is found, another compile is done, named 19B5068b, the third compile would be 19B5068c and so on.

In later stages of beta versions, the chances are higher, that a first (a) or second (b) compile of a specific build is considered good for release. That‘s why late betas often end with a or b. ;)

Oh okay, I never honestly looked into it properly but I often heard reviewers saying it’s an A build or it’s an H build, so I thought that was a grade given from the developers to give a “stability” rating.

good to know 😀
Thanks for explaining!

One can also argue that an A build can ship with unnoticed issues or game breakers, whereas that H build had people look more closely so the stability rating argument is void. It‘s purely placebo.

Battery life is definitely worse for me on B4 than it was on B3 with a 13PM, especially standby drain. On B3 I had 1-2% drain at night with Airplane mode + bluetooth off. Now with B4 it's 4-5% over night and during the day it is also worse than it was before.

Can I just "shift+update" with MacOS back to B3 with the ipsw?

Safari favorites… in the bar… won’t open
Yep I can confirm that. It’s funny I just posted elsewhere that ios 15 has been for the most part problem free. I hadn’t seen anything fixed in 15.1 from 15.0.2, I had only a couple very minor issues that have not been resolved and I can see absolutely no difference between 15.0.2 on my phone and 15.1 on my ipad except for this Favorites bar bug which is new to my ipad.

You have to close the open tab to get back to your start screen to access any favorites.

I only went up 40

I only went to the top of my roof and did that. But it didn’t fix it 😂

Crazy how a software for a mobile phone that states:
  • Users might experience loss of audio during calls, followed by the call being dropped in some conditions
can be graded A
I had this issue in beta 3 and have not had it once in beta 4. It may be fixed they just didn’t update the notes.

Ha yea. I reported too that on a cal when another call came in, you couldn’t turn off speaker phone. Pop in ear buds and it switched but the indicators showing that didn’t.
