I had this one as well. Funny cuz I could swipe through all of my lockscreen setups in this funky orientation.Nice little rotation bug with the Lock Screen on iPhone 14PM. Seen it a couple of times.

Have not seen this oneAnyone have an issue when you open the Messages app, the messages list kinda stutters little bit right away? I've force quit the app and did a hard restart, still having the issue. I assume it's an issue with this iOS release.

That looks like the Share popover — which icon are you tapping to open that up? The Hide option should be visible from this menu:

(EDIT: That menu is in the bottom-right corner from the photo grid in Select mode.)
Works fine for me, do you have the location settings enabled for the phone to know the sunset/sunrise time at your location?Even with my display set to “automatic,” it never automatically switches to dark mode at sunset. I have to manually toggle the “automatic” switch off and then back on to trigger the change.
So, so many issues.
I do, yes.Works fine for me, do you have the location settings enabled for the phone to know the sunset/sunrise time at your location?
You can only change the default apps if you have an alternative app installed that can be set as the new default (e.g., Outlook for Mail) — the setting is inside that app's Settings page, not under Mail or Safari (because that would make too much sense):Is 16.0.1 missing options to set the default Mail app and Browser? Can’t seem to find it anywhere in settings.
I see this icon in place of an icon for my iPhone 14 Pro Max:

this is anywhere the phone would be referenced in Settings like under iCloud Settings...
I'd REALLY love to love my iPhone, but the laundry list of issues has just put me off
-- GPS Issue (impacting me on 16.0.1, not on 16.1)
-- Music Library Not Completing Sync, then starting over
-- Badge Notification icons seem to just not work for some apps, but not all??
-- SIM card to eSim Transfer failed & had to spend an hour on the phone with AT&T
-- I'm not having the reported camera issue, but I also don't use those 3rd Party Apps
-- Photos App not updating Faces
Besides 'AntennaGate', this is probably the roughest iPhone launch I've experienced. And to see all of the MANY pages of people posting their similar issues, it's just mind boggling that NONE of this was caught, even by the folks with Review Units. Unless some kind of NDA prevented them from telling us all of the problems coming our way. I almost feel cheated lol
The function of this feature had confused me at one time with my ipad. But if you’re using the device at the time the change is supposed to take place it will not. Locking the device and then unlocking again will bring it back to light/dark if the time is appropriate. This may not be what’s going on with you but as long as I’m aware of it it works perfectly on all devices even my new 14 Pro Max.I do, yes.
It has no problem automatically going from dark to light, but it never goes from light to dark.
Since getting my iPhone 14 Pro Max on Friday around 1PM CST, I've updated out of the Box via Finder from the downloaded .ipsw File, I've tried erasing and restoring my phone 4 times, AND I've tried setting up as new.
--Regarding GPS issue, it's already been reported a fix is in the works for that.
--My Music Library is STILL not loading completely. Not even under a clean install. There'll be nothing at the top, then this message saying it's syncing my library, and it'll get to about the 2nd S in Artists and disappear and start over. Rinse and repeat. It DOES load most of my library, just nothing I've added since about 2 weeks ago or so. Everything shows up find on a number of other iDevices, my Mac mini, and my MBP...

--I've reached out to the Developers of the Spark App because the missing Red Badge notifications seem to be related to only their app. Any missing notifications I'm seeing from other apps are due to the app itself not updating and then reflecting that there's an update until I actually open the app to see. But in the case of Spark, it still doesn't show a Red Badge icon. Looking at Reviews, it's happening to others, too...
--SIM card to eSim transfer worked, but only after waiting 2-3 hours to see if it would 'just work', and then spending an hour on the phone with AT&T.
--I'm not feeling adventurous enough to try testing out this Camera Issue. In case it DOES happen to cause other issues...
--The Photos App is STILL not updating any faces. It was plugged into power and locked all night. No change...

--I'm also finding that when I'm connected to my Mac and try adding some of my own media like some home movies and stuff via Finder, stuff that all transfers fine on my iPad and my pro iPhone 12 Pro, only a small portion of the selected items actually transfer over. When I try to 'Sync' again, it goes thru the motions as if it's going to sync and then finishes as if there's nothing else to sync. I've even tried connecting my iPad, Unchecking things not syncing to my iPhone, and then going back thru to add them back again. Works fine on my iPad, still not on my iPhone 14 Pro.
It's REALLY bothersome that, even seeing online that there are others having some or even all of the same issues I'm having, the only acknowledgment from Apple is regarding the Camera. And that's probably only due to the weird shaky shake focus issue for all to see online. Kind of hard to hide from that! What a mess. Hoping we see something sooner than next week...
I did not have any such issues on 16 on my 13 Pro Max, nor have I had any noticeable issues on the 14 Pro Max that replaces it. I did the phone to phone transfer to set the new one up and always do OTA for new software. I assume if I spend a few hours looking for a bug I’d probably find one but since its activation last Friday I’ve not encountered any. Haven’t had a “bug fest” since iOS 11 and 13.Do all these bugs affect all iPhones on iOS16 or is it mostly the iPhone 14 series? My X is still on 15.7 and after reading all of the issues I'm not in a rush to update my phone if it's going to be a bug fest..
I did restore my iPhone 12 Pro from the same backup and everything shows up as it should.Do all these bugs effect all iPhones on iOS16 or is it mostly the iPhone 14 series? I too have had very few issues with any iOS update, just wondered if it was mostly the new devices that were seeing issues. I'm out of town right now and my phone has been bugging me to update. I really don't want to have issues with my phone while I'm here so wanted some feedback before I jump inI did not have any such issues on 16 on my 13 Pro Max, nor have I had any noticeable issues on the 14 Pro Max that replaces it. So your 12 Pro is on iOS 16.0 and running fine..I did restore my iPhone 12 Pro from the same backup and everything shows up as it should.
Yes, it’s a bug fest…
That’s correct. 12 pro, along with an iPad Pro, an M1 MBP, and my Mac mini. No problems loading my Music library. iPhone 14 Pro Max is not loading my Music library after trying numerous options. So your 12 Pro is on iOS 16.0 and running fine..
I can only speculate, but the other people I've seen reporting similar issues online are all on either an iPhone 14 or 14 Pro Max, which would mean iOS 16.0.1, not iOS 16 which is on all of the other iPhone supported models.Do all these bugs effect all iPhones on iOS16 or is it mostly the iPhone 14 series? Well, FWIW I’m still having this issue on the latest iOS 16.1 beta. I’m sorry it’s happening, but am glad I’m not the only one. Considering all of the other issues…Having the same issue with Cloud Music Library on 14 Pro Max. Was absolutely fine for the first few days, now 95% of my library is missing on my phone and it says it’s ‘syncing’, but does nothing. Updated to 16.0.1 thinking it might correct it but issue remains. Cloud Music Library is completely fine on my other devices.
Thanks heaps, I might do that. Sorry to hear you're still having the issue on 16.1 beta, hopefully before the final release of that it's ironed out. If you're having no luck with those options then I guess I'll just have to wait as well. If you have any magical resolves in the meantime, feel free to message 🤪Well, FWIW I’m still having this issue on the latest iOS 16.1 beta. I’m sorry it’s happening, but am glad I’m not the only one. I’ve submitted FB11541646 for my music issue if you want to reference that of/when you report it to Apple. I’ve tried everything including just turning off syncing my library, and setting up as new! Still no go. But all my other devices are fine.
Will do! I posted here, too, just for more visibility. With all of the other issues going on with the Camera and GPS, it's not surprising other issues might not get noticed. But I'd strongly suggest filing feedback with Apple. Thanks heaps, I might do that.
