And it
fixed my issues
Which even though being sarcastic saying were on ‘most’ examples of iOS 16.1, and being smacked because I don’t have specific numbers or a statistical example poling a few thousand beta testers….
To that dweeb, I didn’t quote you because there’s no need to bring more attention to such a ridiculous comment, and complete lack of understanding sarcasm
That said and as I said, I have three models of iPhones; 11 Pro 12/13PMs and ALL were having the same issues swiping folders and home screens. The constant affirmation to paste and numerous other REAL Issues that affected The Real World and - ended up sending more folks who gave beta a shot early… running to reinstall a stable public release, rather than wait a week.
I stand by my statement and my sarcasm though and I’d bet you a week’s salary I’m right on the money.
Seems the only ones who didn’t have these problems were those who got the new iPhone 14/14Ps but the latter’s GPSs were goofed up
And yes. These issues have been addressed now working a treat.
That’s with the latest update 10.1.2 - GPS, swiping and copy/paste all work properly and battery seems amazing on my iPhone 12 and 13 pro max. Wife rarely uses her 11P so it’s hard to say.
If you still have the unable to update error dump your beta build under settings and VPN area. Just delete it. Turn phone off. Reenroll your device and then retry. It’ll be gone and you can update to the latest version of the beta 16.1.2
I’m also using three iPads; g3 12.9”/1TB, g5 12.9 (M1) w/1TB and a 256GB iPad Air g6 all w/cellula. When I found the new update to have fixed the issues; I and so many others (to same dude, who is using the beta builds not using MacRumors? Seriously? My wife waits weeks or months sometimes to update as do my folks, 3 younger brothers and their wives and kids) were experiencing, I updated the lot of them today and all are fine.
Sorry to persist buddy, but only us geeks who frequent this site are testing beta builds these days. It’s thee Apple forum. And I have been playing with betas for a decade plus now. I don’t recall a .1 release with such ugly and apparent flaws in the general UI and day to day usability.
Most
apps seemed fine, for me, but the ones it broke - it broke. And they weren’t fixed until this latest point release update
I’m not saying it’s time but it’s a heck of a lot more stable on 16.1.2, it’s fixed GPS issues on pro models of the 14’s (I wasn’t aware of one on the standard version of the 14) and the battery life seems to be good to excellent. No more copy and paste between app permissions, it’s running slick.
Tl/dr. iOS 16.1 was the nastiest beta release Apple has dropped in years. A complete disaster for MOST beta testers.
