iOS 16.1 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

iPhone 14 pro max. With this beta im noticing some keyboard lag when typing any app. Not all the time but noticable.

Oh my God I can’t stand this, it’s almost bad enough right now to make me want to switch to Android. I am a very fast typer (120) on a desktop computer, so naturally I’m likely a little above average on a phone. I have NEVER had this problem and I’ve had every version of iOS since the 3G.

This is HORRIBLE. I can’t tell you the number of times words haven’t come out anything similar to what I want, then I backspace, type it correctly, and predictive puts it right back to what I didn’t want. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 attempts to type the right word and by then I’ve lost most of my train of thought to what I was going to say. I don’t understand. It‘a really, really, REALLY bad, to the point of frustration and I’ve even sworn at the device. It’s bad.

Lol yes, I didn’t even see that until I saw this, I don’t even remember what I was trying to type! I even had trouble with basic words like “that”, which I had to retype 5-6 times last night in a text message as it kept changing it to some random gibberish. So “that” isn’t a word, but “ftfutil” or whatever it kept changing it to, is.

I use dictation a lot while driving, had to give up on it as it’s impossible now.

Yes! This! I just made a post about it. It’s RIDICULOUS, it’s so bad I can’t even stress enough how severely this has hindered my ability to communicate on my device. It’s unreal how bad and laggy this is and nothing I’ve tried had worked to correct it. I’ve resettled the keyboard dictionary and a bunch of other “fixes” and nothing works.
