16.1 introduced more issues for me. Astronomy wallpaper is extremely laggy now and takes over a second to wake the device with it set with AOD on. Text message forwarding has been broken since 16 as well. Dynamic island is now frequently deformed with elements overlapping or hidden behind the FaceID sensor.
Apple is a joke. They just introduced a new bug in this version: the call sound cannot be controlled while the phone is by the ear.
I now need to double check the bugs that each new software version brings before I choose to install. This is incredible

Seems like most of us aren't experiencing any showstopper bugs on 16.1 public release, but lots of us are experiencing a decent variety of minor but annoying bugs.

Every software release ever, really! Although Apple's good with the betas and their Feedback tool, they don't read most of them (probably too many being logged for them to deal with, plus not aiming for 100% bug-free code).
There is an annoying bug where the keyboard doesn't make sounds while typing like it use to. It goes in and out in various apps ever since I upgraded to IOS 16.1. Today it stopped making the sound in the iMessage texts as well SMH.
Not pleased with 16.1. I've run into many more small, annoying bugs than I did with the previous version. Issues with Focus modes getting stuck, long-pressing Reminders notifications doesn't pop up the context menu on lock screen, music playback interface on lockscreen getting messed up / misaligned, notifications showing with square edges that suddenly revert to the rounded corners....
When stage manager is on , it's impossible to drag a sticker in iMessage . It was driving me crazy ! I finally found the issue after resetting all settings twice .
Is this a bug ? It's just as annoying as not being able to swipe corners for a screenshot or for a quick note when it's on .

Anyone with an iPhone 14 seeing Safari reloading pages after moving to another tab, or app?
Ok major issue here. 14 pro max on 16.1. Suddenly the phone has become very unresponsive but somehow I am able to type this. My phone has entered this state where I can not swipe up (can’t close apps or return to Home Screen) can’t swipe down on Notification Center or control center, can’t interact with island…. Whatever bug this is is horrible. So far I can only interact and open apps via Siri. Even scrolling down the screen on certain apps isn’t really functioning. I tried initiating a phone call, I tried initiating a video recording, I tried playing videos in photos app or YouTube.. nothing seems to be kicking my phone “out” of this strange state of nonfunctionality. Horrible!!!!
I did not, after a couple of hours the phone managed to kick itself out of that state so luckily it was not necessary. Very frustrating in the moment though. Not sure what caused it.
I’ve been doing further tests.
I also have the carrier name followed by the Wi-Fi calling indicator similar to your photo. However it sometimes loses wifi calling and I need to toggle airplane mode on and off. Same issue with multiple carriers. Visible, T-Mobile, Tello, US mobile. It might be an issue with my internet provider or router settings. My current router is an ASUS RT-AX58U.
