Pick a game you want to follow. Go inside it and on top right corner you should see star. Tap it and game should appear on your lockscreen and dynamic island.
I accidentally left my VPN (NordVPN) connected all night (8 hours) and my battery did not even drop 1%. I was surprised.
To have the horizontal volume bar appear in the dynamic island, you need to go to Settings -> Sounds & Haptics, and turn on "Change with buttons". But that also changes your ringer (and alarm!) volume, not only playback sound of videos and calls.
Still, it doesn't fix the problem of not being able to change the call volume while holding the phone to your ear.
This is seriously good. No more looking at out of date notifications on the Lock Screen or fumbling about in an app to find football scores.
Fingers x'd but happy to report that 16.1 RC has finally brought some battery life inside my 14pro.
It took 4hrs+ this morning to go from 100% to 99%.
With 16.0.2 and 16.0.3 it was less than an hour without doing anything, and will even almost drop to 97% all the time.
First part of the test is promising.
Let's see the normal usage, then next will be to turn back on AOD and weather widgets...ahahha!

As I keep saying, this may be the best feature added in a long time. And we haven’t really seen it in it’s full glory yet.

So you actually have to specifically follow a game in the app first, to appear on the lockcreen/DI?
Following a team as favorite doesn't automatically display any game they play on the lock screen/DI?
Correct.
Pick the games you want to follow, and you can stack them on lockscreen.
On dynamic island the game you followed first will appear.
Anyone seen this error message before? I’m getting it when I try to play a song in Apple Music on my 12.9” iPad Pro. I have no problem playing the exact same song on my iPhone 14 Pro (which is not running any beta software). I have no problem playing other songs off the same album. I rebooted my iPad and still get the message.

Memory management in this build is the worst I’ve seen so far on the 16.1 betas. Safari tabs are constantly reloading after moving to another app for a few moments. Very strange. Maybe I’ll do some digging on Xcode
Just installed the RC. So far, so good. Battery life definitely seems to be improved over 16.0.x.

This might be the reason that the the messages app reloads when I leave it too. It usually reloads to the conversations list rather than remembering that I was in a specific thread.
iPad volume change buttons don't change order upon change in orientation from portrait to landscape.
In portrait mode, the top button increases volume while the bottom button reduces the volume. This functionality remains the same even while orientation is changed to landscape.
However it is expected that in landscape mode, the bottom button (of portrait mode) should increase the volume while the top button (of portrait mode) should decrease the volume.

I'm installing the RC now... kinda. For whatever reason iTunes is telling me I've never backed up to this computer, even though my existing backup is CLEARLY right there, checked in the iTunes settings menu and I even checked the AppData folder itself. It was only a month ago that I used that backup to restore everything to my new 14 Pro Max!!
Well, anyway, it's building a entirely new backup all over again. And Lightning still only uses USB 2.0 speeds despite using a Lightning/USB C cable... so I may be here for a while...

App Store manual update is faster.
Battery looks the same. I want to say things feel very slightly smoother again. But yeah, great. Running beautifully on my 12.
