This is on my 13 ProMax.
Here are the current settings I have (ProtonVPN).
I do have Secure Core off as it is having issues with iOS16.1 - speed slows to a crawl.

It is currently off as the VPN, iOS16.1RC and my doctors network don’t play well together.

Ok this works but it was thirty minutes after true sunset.. sunset for me was 6:07 and it just went to dark mode now ..

Thank you for pointing out sports alerts. How I never knew of this app. I’m obsessed with live activities.

Edit: have we figured out how to change the game showing on the island? I have multiple games on the lock screen but can’t figure out how it possible to change which game is on the island.

I am not on beta, how to install IPSW? Do I need to go on DFU mode to install? I have itunes on my windows PC, please advise

Still have the annoying storage bug on the RC. No free storage but when I delete something the space I freed up goes into the already massive 70GB of System Data. Lots of other people seem to have it too, it was a thing with iOS 15 but they fixed it and now it’s back with iOS 16 and seems even worse.

EDIT: There's also something VERY wrong with Bluetooth on this beta. AirPods refuse to play and I have to restart the whole iPhone to get them to play despite them showing up as connected. When they play the audio is very choppy, and I don't mean lag it's completely making whatever's playing sound like random noises. It's crazy behavior I've never had anything like that happen before where it makes my AirPods completely unusable for now.

So here’s one of those unexpected but potentially brilliant uses of Live Activities/Dynamic Island. This is from the Drafts app. AgileTortoise (the dev) always finds ways to use iOS capabilities to their fullest.

Is this written incorrectly? Shouldn’t it say: Live Activities from third party apps are available in the Dynamic Island for iPhone 14 Pro models and on the Lock Screen for iPhone 14 Pro models and earlier

This is a great feature implementation, just wish it wasn’t behind a subscription paywall. I wouldn’t mind to pay for the app, but IMO the subscription is a little much.

Wait, I’m wrong. The live activities function is not behind the paywall, it is a free feature!!!

Yes! I got this app last night after reading about it here. The $4.99 per year is to remove ads. I can afford that, and it’s a cool app. I just wish I was able to choose from different app icons other than NFL.

One option is clearly better without the need to restore on slow USB 2.0 speeds. I didn't get the impression that he wants to restore his current iOS version.

Can anyone else test an app that uses scanning of bar codes, qr codes, or bank checks? 16.1 seems to have made it less of an issue for me but I don’t really have anything to test with right now.
