iOS 16.2 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Ok ive isolated my problem. It was Contacts iCloud syncing constantly. I switched off the toggle in iCloud and location services are back to normal and battery on 16.1.2 is sweet now.
God knows how and why they are related to each other.
If someone with similar problem wants to check it out for me on Beta 4 please
Contacts Battery Drain
There's a long discussion about this issue. Apple seems to only be acknowledging the problem now.
As it says on the first post in this thread, open safari and paste: "applefeedback://". It will open the feedback app. It's always there, but hidden on releases and release candidates. If you don't like that, you can type from anywhere: "https://feedbackassistant.apple.com/".

Unfortuantely I need Contacts syncing to iCloud because my organization uses Intune. It's the only way I get contacts at all is having Outlook export them and then it syncs to iCloud for my iPad and mac. Turning it off is not a solution.
On a positive note, beta 4 seems to have resolved a long time issue for me. Apple Watch now seems to unlock by just glancing at the lock screen on my phone, the way it used to work years ago, before it became this slow unlock open phone, wait for unlock message to float down from top, wait, wait, wait.
Hi, I’m having this problem since 16.2. I didn’t have this issue at all on 16.1.2. Is there any fix to this? I already erased my phone, iPad, MacBook and restored from iCloud backup but the issue hasn’t gone away. I was so close to start from scratch without restoring from a backup which I want to avoid. Do you think another update would fix this?

As a feedback, there are reports of location services always on, more than one (and less than 10

Thank you for letting me know. I’ll hold off doing another fresh install and set up new, that’ll only drive me crazy.
I’ll have to wait for the update. It’s really good to know this so I can just let it be for now. I appreciate it!
I had really noticeable battery drain for about a week after installing 16.2 and at first while I thought it might be the "system services" banner in the control center seemingly never disappearing but after looking a bit in my battery I saw that mail for whatever reason had a huge spike in terms of background activity despite being completely off. After deleting the app and rebooting my phone I can already tell a difference. I can only assume it was some bug in mail fr whatever reason but I will continue to monitor it going forward.
