Really nice. Smoother so feels slicker/quicker. Battery so far is the same.

Feels just like it’s had a polish for now. Would expect the RC next week.
While I tend to agree, still having dropped frames occasionally throughout the OS.

on my iphone 13 pro this does not happen. System services don't require the location any more than they already did. Only the weather app, but because I have animated wallpapers according to the weather in my location.
Yeah, I don’t see that happening on my iPhone 14PM.

Turn the status bar icon toggle to off if you don’t want to see the system services status in your control center or the gps icon constantly on. Do a google search on what each of those system services do and what they accomplish. I utilize all of them because I enjoy most of the features they allow. I don’t notice any battery drain whatsoever. I am on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Thanks but not the point.
Their behavior is different in beta 4. Did not have the constant check in beta 3.
As for battery, that is being watched and if an issue will be reported.

For now Feedback report only mentions the always on.

I think it’s still doing it in App Library, but I’ve got to look so dam hard for it.
See them there and Notification Center swipe to clear, the force close app animation, minimize/send app to background, Safari tab close animation, etc.

Im gonna try it again on the old timey XR and see if it still works for me on this beta. Hope it doesn't break it. (even though I don't really use it ) :)

[Edit] Well I added the widget and it showed off even thou I had alarms set. Had to turn off alarms, reboot, then turn back on. It now shows my tomorrow AM alarm so will see if it updates to the afternoon alarm tomorrow after AM alarm completes. Will report back.
OK so today AM alarm went off, widget updated to my afternoon alarm (4PM). I had set another one just for grins for 5PM today and widget updated to that one after the 4PM one and it went off. Now it shows off because AM alarm isn't until Monday morning. Sooooo it appears B4 still works for XR. Maybe Apple needs to pull the code from the XR and dump it into the 14 series. 😂

Camera

That time of year and took a couple of quick shots of my fireplace. More so wanted to compare against my 1+ 10 Pro as it just got an Android 13 update.

However, the camera, default settings, I am getting some crazy flares. First time doing this on 16 (fire in a fireplace - just point and shoot.)
Not good. Also included a copy with all the settings info.

anyone who tried setting the phone as "new" and experienced the battery life as better? :)

Battery drain is such a broad spectrum of personal settings and third party apps on your phone that could be the cause.

Before setting up as new I would:

• offload and reinstall certain apps that could be the potential cause. Use battery indicator in settings.

• do a few HARD restarts

• reinstall the beta

I would do a restore if things still weren’t fixed, before setting up as new also.
