Bug. I can maximize apps via the lower right control thing
Huh. This is how it looks like for me when having more than one app open… iPad Pro m1 12,9. I can’t go further… :D

Is anyone having an issue installing the WatchOS public version? I keep getting an error - "Software Update Failed". An error occurred downloading the latest version of watchOS on your Apple Watch.

I even downloaded the profile again.

So modem updated back to previous version, volume buttons working when on a call, alarm widget back working. Guess this is the RC. Its all set and ready to release! Let it fly Apple, guess its complete now! 🤣😂🤣😂

Tried to send a document (pdf) attached to a text via MMS and it has failed every time. Pictures send okay but that is it.
I can send via iMessage with no issue.
Both devices are on AT&T.

Notifications - Lockscreen

With this update, every LS Notification is lighting the screen up nice and bright at night. Had to put it face down on my nightstand last night. Settings are good. DND is set for 22:00 - 07:00

Going to try a few On/Off, Reboot, etc… to see if I can get it working again.
Are you using the Sleep focus? It turns AOD completely off unless you tap the screen to wake.

Apparently, there won’t be any huge improvements or features in iOS 17… just a solid bug and performance release. The focus is on their AR headset.

So might not be that exciting in 5 months this time round, but imagine a bug free iOS.

We would all have such clean hands 😆😉
I’m less optimistic.

From MR:

“iOS 17 may have "fewer major changes than originally planned" due to Apple's focus on the "xrOS" operating system for its AR/VR headset, according to Gurman. This could result in iOS 17 having more of a focus on bug fixes and stability improvements, but it's still early, so we haven't heard much about exact features yet.”

Let’s unpack:

Mark Gurman and MR are saying two different things. MG reports that Apple will divert resources from iOS 17 development to headset OS development, resulting in less new features.

MR’s speculation uses this logic: if Apple is putting fewer new features in ios 17, that will free up resources to focus on stability and bug fixes.

MR's logic is incorrect. The freed up resources are going to headset OS development, not iOS 17 stability.

That’s how I read it, anyways. I hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t see how taking developers away from iOS 17 results in iOS 17 being more stable.

Touching and holding on a notification to expand it does not work, regardless of whether it’s in the lockscreen or the notification shade.

Apps are becoming unresponsive. YouTube and Messages, so far.

YouTube only required the app to be force closed.

Messages required me to restart my phone.
