No issues with the weather app. Cellular radio on my 13 Mini needs toggling to get good signal on the regular.
It's the battery one.Well the Astronomy Widget must be on an A/B site because it never works right. Restart and it syncs to other server and works.
There’s been no real security patches in these updates and so far they’d only been testing the feature and optimizing it along the way.New Rapid Security Response code in iOS 16.4 beta 3 adds wording about apps that could be incompatible with security updates. "Some apps may be closing unexpectedly due to incompatibility with the latest iOS rapid security response. Removing the security response may fix this," reads Apple's wording.
Could that be the problem for some of the guys complaining about crashing apps or widgets?
Really, why the restart demand after? There’s been no real security patches in these updates and so far they’d only been testing the feature and optimizing it along the way.
They could start implementing it with a future update possibly 16.5.
Really, why the restart demand after?
Good point but there has not been one for beta 3 yet. Also as stated they supposedly are nothing to them as of yet.New Rapid Security Response code in iOS 16.4 beta 3 adds wording about apps that could be incompatible with security updates. They annoy me because they still involve rebooting. I don't understand why it isn't possible for Apple to provide any updates, from deep security ones, to little Mail ones, without requiring a reboot (and in the case of stock apps, an entire O/S change).Good point but there has not been one for beta 3 yet. Rapid Security Responses that involve the operating system require the device to restart. So ... I've just ignored them. Of course, once out of beta I'll be installing them, as I want security updates regardless of reboots.
That's good - I didn't know that.Rapid Security Responses that involve the operating system require the device to restart. Rapid Security Responses that involve Safari require the user to quit the app.
Apple needs to fire their connectivity team. I’ve had AirPods 1, 2, 3 and Pro and they’ve all had issues with cutting out. I also have two OG HomePods and two Minis and I don’t even try to use them anymore.AirPods Max seem to be slow in connecting and/or just struggling to automatically connect altogether to my iPhone on this beta.
In the beta 3 I have a keyboard haptics bug—14Pro. It's not working anymore. Tried all the usual turn off and on (phone and settings) but no luck. Reported to Apple.
Anyone else with the issue?
That’s how the process works with the actual security patches so they treat it like it’s an actual update during the testing phase. iOS betas are well established but separating security updates is a paradigm shift and this calls for a much more rigorous testing before it’s deemed ready for public.Really, why the restart demand after?
I’m only getting 5-6 hours of SOT on my 14PM on this beta. Anyone else?
