iOS is showing the temperature as being 73 degrees near me, so I opened the windows but it’s cool out. I asked Alexa and she said it’s 62 degrees. It feels closer to 62 than 73.

I restored to the rc version of 16.4, and the battery performance and stability are the best I've had in iOS 16 on my iphone 13 pro.
On the other hand, the time to try iOS 16.4 is now, restoring with iCloud or iTunes backup does not lose any data. And if you are not convinced by this version, iOS 16.3.1 is still being signed and you can install it, restoring a modified copy of iTunes from iOS 16.4 or one that you have from iOS 16.3.1.
I would not wait for people's opinions, because each one of us uses the mobile in a different way and my experience does not have to be repeated in your case.
Hmm. Looks like it’s good I’m still hanging out on 16.3.1. Now that millions of people (rather than thousands in beta) have gotten a hold of the software, the little nagging bugs are getting picked up and of course a 16.4.1 update is coming.

After all these years of iPhones and software updates it’s really feeling like the best time to update to the new actually stable good one is when they stop signing the old good one. So in this case once apple stops signing 16.3.1… it’ll be safe to update to the new good one which will probably be 16.4.1!! :)

Apple Weather App is down again, ugh!!

Yep

I went for a run on outdated weather info and may never recover. 😂

Also, my VO2 max has gone down my last 3 runs which is exactly how long the Weather App has been having issues.

Coincidence, I think not!!!😱

I did a restore with the .ipsw file in Finder, and then restored from an iCloud Backup. Left it alone for the most part as to finish downloading and installing everything. I couldn’t be happier. It’s fixed any and all problems I’ve had that I can think of off hand.

Also, battery life has been great! Still running off the initial install and pulling it from the charger before bed, I’ve still got 75% in the morning. And I watched some YouTube and played a game for a bit, too. It’s weird that Siri and the Tips app even are showing up here, though…

Second this. It took for a while but result is stable & clean system. Probably Apple should stop OTA update due to the results are not consistent among users.

Did you really fix it by Restore or was it a DFU?

A Restore. I used Finder to wipe my iPhone with the downloaded .ipsw file. I didn’t just install over itself. THAT I did with macOS, as that’s handled differently.

This also “corrected” a 5-7 month long iCloud Tab syncing issues I’ve been having. I’m sure it’ll happen again, though.

When such Safari issues presented I’ve only had to sign out of iCloud, never had to do a restore or DFU in at least a decade. Only have ever done OTA since shortly after they became available. I did experience an iCloud tab issue a couple years ago but signing out of iCloud and back in took care of that. It was quite strange, there were about 20 phantom tabs showing on my ipad ostensibly from my phone. These were tabs that had been closed a year before. It confused me but signing out of iCloud on my phone took care of it.

The semi-frequent freezes in Apple Music are getting rather annoying but outside of that 16.4 has still been pretty solid. I had one time where my display was extremely slow to wake up though, enough to make me think it had booted off.

That’s happened frequently throughout iOS 16 on my 14PM. I just accept it and make multiple taps or use the side button which usually gets an immediate response.

I’ve lost them too. IOS 16.4.1
I can still access that section from an iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.7. So it's not a server issue, Apple just decided to remove it from iOS 16.4. I fairly certain it was still present in iOS 16.3

Astronomy - Earth wallpaper is semi broken here (IP 13 Pro Max).

On the lockscreen it correctly updates day/night cycle and clouds but when you swipe up to the homescreen it jumps back to display the zoomed-in area of Earth at the time you booted the device/switched to the Astronomy wallpaper.

Had to choose a different wallpaper because this is annoying.
This has been happening to me since updating and it is driving me crazy!
