You cannot count the iOS 17 beta phase starting with WWDC as 99% of the users are running release software (one could easily forget that following the forums here as it seems 99% of the users here are running beta software). ;)
I’m part of that 1%, I had enough being beta-tester from Lion to Yosemite.

But I’m glad to read your impressions!

What...? We're still in March. The iOS 17 beta doesn't come out until June. We still have 2 more months of likely iOS 16 updates to go, lol.
It's worth noting that iOS 15 is still getting updates more than 18 months after the initial public release (15.7.4 was posted alongside 16.4 yesterday). Granted, they're almost exclusively security patches for devices that don't support iOS 16, but they're updates.

Since the bug with Lock Screen notifications is still present (you tap the list, it goes gray instead of expanding and showing you your notifications), I'm going to assume that nothing else that was broken in 16.4 has been fixed, either (CarPlay and Private Browsing).

In to ask if this fix the stutter while gaming
Not beta-specific, but I noticed over the years that stutter in iOS games can be caused by not enough RAM or not enough free space (maybe for swapping ram). Keep at least 10 percent of your device's storage free. It's kind of annoying that you can even install that much e.g. on an apple TV that doesn't show hoe mich storage space is left and then have it slow down.

Installing now, hope they’ve made some camera processing changes! My guess is not but we’ll see.

Yes. There will probably be almost 6 months of iOS 16 updates to go. But beginning on the first Monday of June (most likely) most of us will no longer care.
Yep, but it's not three months before that, it's 10 weeks... 😉 and 10 weeks means just enough for about 4-6 betas, which is in line with what's usual

In this case it's not the issue because games only stutter when touching the screen. When using a bluetooth controller, everything is smooth. It seems like a touch input bug

Interesting, seemingly new behavior: Closed Settings app with Battery pane open; upon quickly relaunching Settings, the Battery pane was still open.

…Upon further checking/attempted repeats, that appears to have been a bug of some sort.

Anyway, after all that dreck, I’m quite enjoying these new versions :) haptic feedback feels well-tuned and springy on my 13 mini, too 🤓

P.S. So far haven’t had any issues with the HomePods. Using AirPlay to stream Fitness+ workouts to my MacBook has been working quickly and reliably. Watch seems snappy as usual. Will keep youse upd8’d

Profile gate: If they weren't needed, I'm wondering why they are still present on offer from Apple?!?!
They're probably going to keep them available until everyone who may need to install a current beta is already likely to be running a version that supports the built-in setting. (iOS 17 would be my guess.)

Nope. Not doing it.

Battery is solid on my iP14 Pro running iOS 16.4 after dfu restore.

p.s I hate banking app especially HSBC and Barclays. Even with encrypted backup they loose all the login info.
