Almost every time I switch to private mode (after surfing on „normal mode“ for a while), the first url search does not open the website, I am just left with a blank page. Have to completely close Safari and then it works

I have had a lot of trouble sending pictures to android users on b2, they always fail to send and I have to try several times to make them go through. Really hoping b3 fixes whatever is causing this.

I have had this one. Happened at a really bad time, too.

It’s been a while. How’s everyone liking this beta? 👍🏼👎🏼?

Mostly good on my 14PM.

I haven’t experienced this one.

I normally do not use Private Mode.
I tried what you described and sure enough, same issue. Odd.
Did you report it?
If yes, can you send me the Uber and I’ll report and include it.

Been noticing with this beta more so than others is the App Store app updates.
Very few updates are automatically occurring. At present I have updates from as far back as the 11th still sitting there.
Both on the iPad and iPhone.
Crazy.

I just go in every few days and swipe to refresh. The auto-update feature is 100% useless.

I don't recall this feature ever working on any version of iOS. Why can they not get these things working? They have year after year, release after release with precisely zero improvement, and in some cases, actual regression. I genuinely don't understand it.

You and me both, but with one small difference. It only takes to open 2nd private tab and suddenly the search works.

That’s a new one.

I had a shortcut notification on the lockscreen, swiped it away and now I cannot unlock my phone. The swipe up gesture is acting up.

Thankfully I could access the Home Screen by tapping on my instagram widget on the lockscreen

Just had an epiphany.
There’s no good reason to talk about battery life on a beta. No one’s going to stay on a beta forever and unlike bugs in a beta the battery life good/bad doesn’t carry over to the public release.

So my thought is that we should skip talking about battery life on betas and just focus on the bugs.

Yeah it does get a bit flat at times. Quite draining to read the same old, same old. I do get quite charged up though when I see how well it's performing on a beta. A positive sign. I'm guilty in the battery posting at times.

But yeah, totally agree actually, it's what we have in the final build that counts 👍🏼

Seems though, some people on here of late take pleasure in doing the complete opposite, and posting the same sh*te regardless of anyones thoughts. So I stay hopeful but I don't think it will be sustainable.

I’m hoping one of you guys could help me with two things:
1) test something: I always shoot photos in the RAW format and have been using a shortcut to convert them to HEIF. As of this beta, I was getting errors with the shortcut and ended up removing it thinking I needed to delete and re-install the shortcut.

2) find the shortcut I’m looking for: Does anyone have the shortcut that was popular on here where it’d convert all recent photos and delete the old RAW versions?

Thanks in advance!

Here you go my friend.

Not sure stars going on with this beta but I landed in London and Copenhagen today and every app on my iPhone 13 Pro hangs and locks after opening. Powered off, turned cellular data off and back on, nothing changes it.

Powered off or hard restart? The latter is Vol+ vol- hold power button until Apple logo appears.

That’s the challenge with iOS/iPadOS these days.

Fix attempt - execute in order:
  1. Relaunch the app
  2. Kill and relaunch the app
  3. Reinstall the app
  4. Reboot the device
  5. Hard reboot the device
  6. Reinstall the OS
Even Apple support leads you down the same trail.
Kind of expected in a beta ;)

Here is a strange one....

Have an Exchange account feeding into Mail. Apple Mail app.
Notification from incoming emails are showing up on the lockscreen up to an hour after they arrive. I can even be done nd have read and/or replied to the email.

Tried removing the account.
Rebooted device.
Added the account back.
Didn't fix it.

As far as I know Notifications is triggered on device.
Thoughts before submit?

Update: did it again but used a hard reboot between out and in.

Note: the only accounts on this are iCloud and Exchange

Not sure why but this message is showing up under settings up. The last time I upgraded to a new iPhone was in September.

Did they fix the podcast setting "continuous playback" that keeps turning itself ON despite the fact that I keep turning it OFF? They had this fixed for 16.x up until 16.4.1 and now it's broken again and keeps reverting to continuous. Honestly, I can't see how it's possible to break a toggle setting as they're probably all set with the same boilerplate settings-toggle methods in the code.
