iOS 16 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Stage Manager is the thing that has the recent apps on the side, it shows up on M1 iPads and macOS Ventura.
Worked fine on my phone and my org has typically been strict about this.
iPhone 13 Pro here, feels hot 4 hours after installation /indexing should be completed by now/ ...especially when using ANY other lockscreen than the one that got through from iOS 15.6b2 (no widgets).
I reckon these widgets won't be usable, they will drain the battery as they're constantly running and checking GPS etc, for some reason iPhone can't to this effectively and runs hot in my experience.
It might get polished in the later betas, but the battery life will suffer like it did with dynamic backgrounds...and them backgrounds had no widgets, they just moved... now with fancy widgets and adaptive weather changes backgrounds... this is gonna crush batteries like never before imho... I'd like to proven wrong here.

I happened to stop by an Apple Store, with the only goal of uploading a large file on their wifi, so I downloaded for my Mac, iPad and iPhone and watch while uploading a 3 gig video file to work\
Mine seems to be extra strict, same error on iOS or iPadOS. Error continues through all MSFT apps (except authenticator) where my work account was signed in on
thanks. guess I am not getting that. also im not upgrading until dropbox makes a version that will work in Parallels with an M1/M2 processor. not that shirty "S mode" version. ( must have dropbox support in windows for work )
I didn't even think about it...went to dinner for my anniversary and it just worked as usual.
I’ll report back once I get this installed on one of my devices. Thanks for making me think twice though before making the jump! 😂
Couple things after using the beta for 15-20 min
Phone is running just as fast as 15.5, cell signal/speed seems better
New haptic sound when grabbing and using the scroll bar in Safari? Also hearing this when using Message tapbacks
Not a fan of how I can’t have different wallpapers for my Lock Screen and Home Screen. Unless I’m just doing something wrong?

Just think about it this way, easier work/life balance when you can’t even access your emails on the go! 😂
Seems like a beta bug, but doing lock screen before home screen is the way to go. Found doing lock screen ends up setting for both, but home screen is only home screen. Can’t imagine thats intended use
I'm pretty sure this is a bug.
After setting a lock screen up the phone will use the same image for lock and home screen. But if you go to Settings > Wallpapers, you can change the Home Screen from there.
I’m not seeing unread messages badges on my S7 Apple Watch running watchOS 9. Anyone else?
