Autocorrect sucks.
Fixed that for ya.

Big pet peeve: This isn't as much of a problem on this forum as it used to be, but I still see it on Twitter. When someone posts a bug and people respond "iTs A bEtA". Yeah no kidding. The whole point is to bring awareness to the bugs. Yeah I report it myself, but if I post it to a public forum, maybe others will as well and it'll get fixed quicker.
This!
It annoys me so much..

I agree with you. But the variant on what you say where someone whines about the performance of something (battery life, app compatibility, etc…) is still fair game for a solid thrashing.

I agree. But the other day on Twitter, I saw someone point out a big discrepancy in the weather app of what the temperature should've been, and the replies were nothing but "it's almost as if it's a beta, what do you expect?" It was showing a temperature that was 12° higher than iOS 15 was showing, so it's something specific with the data source it seems.

I saw that one, too. That’s ok to point out, as its obviously inconsistent/erroneous behavior. But don’t trash Apple for it, as in “My life is ruined because I relied on this new weather app and it got the temperature wrong!” At least not until it ships publicly.

I’m having a lot of issues with app search/spotlight search. Apps not showing up even if you typed the whole name. Or if I search for maps, google maps won’t show up. Feedback reports and assume this will be fixed soon anyway :)

Yes. But it may need wifi calling on.

I start calls on my MBP during the work day and sometimes transfer to iPad or iPhone to step outside.
Excellent, thanks for letting me know! I use wifi calling on my iMac and iPad all day long and I’ve always wanted the ability to move a call between devices.

Are the dynamic "bubbles" wallpapers still available in iOS 16? It's the one with the bubbles that move around in the screen when you tilt your device.

Autocorrect sucks on this beta.

I feel like the "space bar" has been less sensitive since iOS 15 (I know it isn't a physical button so I am not sure how much sense this make) but it often doesn't recognise me hitting the space bar and then it tries to turn for example "be it" into a random word like "beetle".

Unrelated, I do not recommend using wireless charging on this beta. It is potentially going to harm your battery. My iPhone 12 Pro Max has stopped charging above 95 % the last few nights because of "heat" and when I pick up my phone in the morning, it is crazy hot. I don't think that is good for the battery in the long run.

My personal feeling is that we should not recommend (or “unrecommend”) things here based on personal experience with the beta.

I wirelessly charge and do not experience any of the issues you are experiencing. That’s not to say you are not experiencing them but that it’s not universal. That being the case, your recommendation and suggestion that the battery may be harmed is not going to apply to everyone. So, rather than recommending that people take an action that they may not need to, let’s just report the facts and let people make up their own minds as to what the appropriate action is as a result. To that end, it would be helpful to know what charger you are using and any other pertinent details (battery percentage at bedtime, what time you put it on the charger, etc).

I would also report this if you have not done so.

Oh I have only mentioned it because it has already been brought up on here multiple times by other users on previous pages.

iPhone 12 Pro Max
Some "Yootech" Charger
It would charge to around 90% and then stop in the middle of the night due to too much heat (I think this is a new feature of iOS 16?)
On some mornings the phone would actually be at 50 % (dropping 40 %) over night even though it was sitting on the matt all night

Not saying you shouldn’t mention it. Just suggesting that you don’t “recommend” against wireless charging based on your experience (augmented as you suggest by some number of others who’ve reported the same issue). Even if 50 others reported it here, that’s still a very small subset of overall beta users. And, for all you know, its the charger that’s the issue, not the beta.

He can recommend whatever he wants based on his experience. That’s why we have a message board.

I haven't plugged in my iPhone 13 Pro for charging, ever

I use Apple’s duo at night and a MagSafe wireless in my car, no issues of overheating before the beta or since day one of the beta

Sleep Cycle is the only app running all night

You're both right. Of course he can recommend whatever he wants in this Forum. We should all have the freedom to post our thoughts (within site guidelines, of course). Just expect reactions based on, maybe, a 'choice of words' to describe your issue/thoughts. Should everyone stop using Wireless Charging because someone posted it here? I'd think more people would want to try testing that now, and maybe confirm or further test that theory. I, for one, have not had any issues with wireless charging. And like @gwhizkids mentioned, it very well could just be an issue with your charger. I've got a Samsung Fast Charger (circle base thing with a blue ring on it) and it works great.

...Staying on topic, what I have had consistent issues with is my Lock Screen going to black at some point from 'something' that maybe I do during the day. Or not. Not sure, it just goes black, and then only a hard reboot fixes it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same here on the iphone 13 pro. I type maps and only APPLE MAPS shows up. not Google Maps. If I type google, I et all kinds of google apps, but not maps. hmm...
