With all due respect, I sincerely suggest you stay away from betas on your devices. You clearly have no idea how to install a developer beta and you’re jumping at the chance of installing beta 1 on your device.
Unless it’s a spare iPhone you should not be installing betas without any knowledge of how they work. A hundred things can go wrong with a beta 1 of a major iOS upgrade and you shouldn’t be risking it on your primary device if you need to ask.

Thank you for your kind advice, yes I am not a technically sound for the beta, but I am very well aware of the risk using beta on primary device, my primary devise is iPhone 13 pro & iPhone 8 I wanted to test beta 16,

Your opinion aside, you could of helped the person!!!

“Please help” and you’ve turned your back on them. Nice.

The fact that you are using iTunes tells me you are on Windows not a Mac, right? Unfortunately you cannot install IPSW files from a Windows machine, as you need the Xcode beta to do that and Xcode is not available for Windows. Your only option is an OTA installation. So you’ll need the iOS 16 profile from the Apple Developer site to do that.

Done, Installed profile & installed through OTP

I would’ve if he either made it clear that it’s not his primary device or if it’s a later beta. I personally avoided beta 1 for the exact same reason and should anything go wrong he’d have to fumble around to revert to iOS 15 and could’ve been left without a phone till he does.

Going back to iOS 15 is very easy, making a backup in iTunes is enough. IPSW can't be used with iOS 16 yet, but iOS 15 you can use the ones from the versions being signed by Apple. There are even tutorials to downgrade from iOS using iOS 16 backup on iOS 15

You missed my point. I’ve done the restore over a hundred times in the last few years and clearly you did too.
My point is for someone who’s not familiar with the whole update/restore process all too well. Even then you never know when not having your phone working might cost ya.

Unless you know exactly what you’re doing my advice would be to stay away from betas at least until it’s beta 3-4.

I’ve installed and used multiple betas in the past, and that is still my default process. When I had a spare sacrificial device I did install a few beta 1s and had to revert, or thought about it because it made the device virtually unusable.

Not sure if this is new but you can enter text on your Apple Watch using another iOS device. Went to respond to a text on my watch while using my iPad and got this notification on both my iPad and iPhone.

After updating to iPadOS 16 beta, my iPad cannot be detected by my MacBook (and Apple Store Genius's MacBook)
However, my iPhone SE with iOS 16 can still be detected. Any thoughts? Thanks

I don’t think there’s any profound answer to what you are seeing: its just one of the quirks of the beta software. Perhaps you can reinstall iPadOS on your device and it will then become visible again. Or perhaps just wait for beta 2, which is likely no more than 3-4 days away.

I don’t know if this has been discovered, but you can export all contacts within the contacts app! (iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 16 beta 1)

I know it's a beta. I'm aware of that. But a lot of times, my iPhone 12 Pro Max gets stuck on this screen and it's an annoying bug lol

Try some hard restarts. See if it persists.

(press volume up, down, then press and hold the power button and only release when you see the Apple logo, NOT before)

If it does, you can try reinstalling beta 1 if you’ve come from an OTA update, normally clears up quite a few niggles, or wait for beta 2 Tuesday/Wednesday probably.

This must be a new thing?
I used to install IPSWs on my iPod touch all the time in my Windows XP/Windows 7 days. Lots of jail breaks too.

Its a meh start, I dont understand why Apple is so lazy sometimes. They start something and then release it half finished.

I sent feedback to Apple about Followed Artists Tab, you guys should too.

Maybe Apple intentionally omitted this "followed artists" tab because it breaks backwards compatibility with people that are using iTunes with Apple Music. On those devices your "Artists" tab will only show you artists with music in your library. If you follow an artist but don't have any of their music there's no way to show them in your Artists tab on iTunes. Given that many AM features are absent from iTunes I think you're right about the laziness, they probably encountered the "followed vs. in your library" conundrum and thought "whatever, we'll bank that for another time"

Putting that aside there would also have to be two different Artists pages: one for artists in your library and another for followed artists as there would be many people (such as myself) that don't want to follow every since artist in our library, only the ones we actually want notifications from. Tidal has the same issue at the moment: you can follow artists and they appear in your Artists tabs... BUT that tab doesn't show all artists in your library like Apple Music currently does (something I really want in Tidal).

The ideal fix is a selector to filter followed artists vs. artists in your library (or show both simultaneously). This would work in Tidal but not in Apple Music without omitting the feature entirely from iTunes users but who cares about that honestly.
