battery life is so much better for me. i had 10 hours 54 mins screen on. last charged to 84% on friday at ~9AM and by ~9AM saturday i had 30% left. that's when i checked my screen on time so the graph was only showing the last 24 hours of usage. i don't get it... i wish i took a screenshot. i don't think i've ever seen 10 hours screen on time before and this is after 20 months with this phone and 93% battery health. i'm not using my phone any differently. mostly browsing safari, youtube, spotify, twitter, reddit. haven't uninstalled any apps or changes settings.

negatives with this beta is that Safari constantly crashes. Even had YouTube crashing.

My iPhone 12 PM is getting super hot in the center on this beta when I am just reading articles on safari. Yesterday it even dimmed the screen when it was only 23 C outside
Mine too. It’s usually when I’m browsing in safari. I’m also getting an extreme hit to battery life.

So far for me…

battery decent on 13P and iPP

cant sign in to Feedback Assistant on iPhone

tap to wake takes multiple taps and sometimes stutters

podcasts occasionally cuts in and out every few seconds

I miss my battery percentage progress on LS while charging

Siri is dumb, but she’s probably overwhelmed with all the changes

only one respring right after I had restarted my phone manually (PB1)

Safari has only acted up on iPhone (no FC, just unresponsive/freezing)

shutting down phone w/volume up and sleep button causes the shutdown screen to overlap home screen instead of going to its own screen

- Notice how nothing happens

Submitted this bug to Apple.

Count me lucky but Ive only had 1 crash in Safari browser throughout the betas so far, and I browse Safari like 10hrs each day so Im pretty heavy user.

Not noticing any safari problems and battery seems good. Biggest complaint is when using mic for speech to text I get doubles a lot. Need to go back and erase whole lines. Really annoying. KB can be laggy also but weirdly not always. (Iphone13)
Edit: forgot to mention I did perform a full factory reset to try and fix another issue that I’ve had even before this beta. This may have helped some other things like safari. Didn’t seem to help the sometimes laggy kb tho unfortunately.

Battery pretty good for me on IP13PM. Had Lock Screen flash a couple of times, but tap to wake works well also.
I had an issue with updating my 3rd gen iPad Air, using the IPSW file. It is managed by the company I work for though, so that could be the issue. Just bought a new M2 MacBook Air and it updated my iP13PM fine. But it sent my iPad into Recovery mode, and then looped between the recovery screen and the Apple logo. Had to use my old Intel 2014 MacBook Pro, and it updated/recovered fine with that. Weird.

Messenger and AirPods not working for me on my iPad. AirPods connect successfully, but as soon as I join a Messenger call, the AirPods disappear from the available output devices. Bluetooth settings still shows the AirPods connected.

Also swiping to hide an app is not working, reported this one too.

I am having issues with Wifi where it fails to auto reconnect to known networks especially when I am home.

I miss the battery progress on lock screen while charging too. The widget for Battery font is too small at times and hard to read, especially with certain wallpapers. Apple one step forward, two steps back... I hope they bring back the larger easy to see charging status prior to iOS 16.

Add it back to the status bar where it belongs.
Is it just me that finds having to use widgets to get basic device info is backasswards?

you can take the Instagram app almost full screen on the iPad now, which is nice.

The phantom U2 auto play album is back.
It did this for a while off and on since iOS13. Was gone early in iOS15. Now it is apparently back with beta 4.

I don’t have an Apple Music subscription - don’t use it.
I don’t have this specific U2 album anywhere.
Yet at random times my 13 ProMax will start playing it.

Can anyone with a Peacock subscription please try using the app and see if it works? Launching the app shows me the splash screen with the Peacock logo, but as soon as it starts to display the home screen it crashes to desktop. Tried deleting and re-installing the app. Loads fine to the login screen, then lets me choose which profile and as soon as I choose, it crashes to desktop again.

No problem here.

Sorry if this was mentioned before, but is there a specific toggle to use the keyboard with dictation active besides pressing on the microphone on the keyboard? For me when I start dictation it uses the old iOS 15 way.

No. You should just be able to start using the keyboard as you are dictating. Nothing else to do.

Are you continuously holding the microphone button as you dictate? You don’t need to do that if you are.

Btw, it took me this long to notice this but Apple fixed Safari browser scrolling down issue when searching something in B4. This was really annoying.

Volume sliders in control center is broken. The sliders are either very slow to respond or it doesn't move at all. It's an issue on both my iPhone XR and iPad Pro.
Even using the physical power buttons is slow if you hold it down.

Edit: restarting the phone seems to have fixed volume changing issues for me. Not sure how to reproduce the problem.
