I mean I won't have a iphone 14 but I guess others might appreciate it. ;)

you’ll still get the new battery percentage feature on your older iphone if you update to iOS 16. It’s not exclusive to the coming iphones.

I meant specifically seeing it with an always on display. I've never been concerned with it. Never found it especially stressful to just pull down to the control center view or looking at how low it was without a %

now place auto brightness settings under the "Display & Brightness" settings pane and we can live in peace ... no I mean seriously it makes zero sense to navigate under "Accessibility -> Display & Text size" to turn on/off a damn auto brightness ... a toggle in Control center would also be sufficient ... or just replace the "Dark Mode" toggle after haptic pressing on the display brightness in Control center with auto brightness ... who the hell toggles a dark mode anyway ... it's a one time setting when you initialize the iPhone

That’s where the auto-brightness toggle used to be until iOS 11 or 12: in display & brightness. And it should have stayed there. I never understood why they moved it to accessibility>display & text size.

why does iPhone X get currently have it but not iPhone 11?
Like isn't the 11 supposed to be more powerful than the X ☹️
I will be disappointed if the 11 doesn't get it in beta 6, or at all in ios16

Apple now does this because they wasn't really known for the best battery life, but since the iPhone 13 they have been battery king and now they want to show it.

Don't think I'll spend over $2kAU (iPhone 14 Pro 512) replace my iPhone 11 for this feature! More and more I'll just sit on the 11 for the next year, not literally or then I'd need to get something newer LOL.
