It was actually one of the reasons people didn’t like the notch because it took up valuable space at the top for information like battery percentage, or so people thought. Now they just stuck the number in the battery icon, so I share your disbelief

Looks like it will be full all the time. Only thing that changes is the number. But I could be wrong.
