iOS 16 Beta 5: Battery Percentage Now Displayed in iPhone Status Bar

Me: I usually wait until later in the day or the next day to upgrade a beta in case of issues.
Also Me: BATTERY PERCENTAGE I'M INSTALLING NOW!

For whatever reason I don't notice the battery is getting low as much with the simple indicator. I've really missed this since getting the iPhone X and I can't wait to have this feature back in a few minutes. I love the precision and despise having to swipe down all the time if I want to see the percentage.

I swear if Apple removes this from the next beta we're going to start a revolution, lol.

If I were to guess, it is always solid filled while displaying the numbers. And if you turn off % is displays the current way.

Another guess is that the battery is slightly wider when displaying 100% + Charging icon.
 
Interesting that low power mode always turns on the %. May be when manually setting LP mode?

I can totally see that coming. Everyone in Cupertino will be like "WOW". Only Apple can do this, haha!

If the 11 Pro 5.8” got it, then I see no reason why the X and Xs couldn’t get it. At least the excuse for the XR and 11 could be the low resolution.

I’m actually surprised they didn’t limit it to the smaller notch iPhones.
 
Oooooohhhh my god.
Increased prices… nobody can complain anymore against Apple - they took this effort and brought this incredible feature back. It’s beautiful! They took these effort and added it back. OMG!!!
Sure it wasn’t easy to implement again, this for sure needed a lot of ressources and might delayed due to the pandemic. But nevertheless they are quick here. 4-5 years, who wants to complain??
Groundbreaking stuff!!!

Will jump on that beta when the public is out!!!

Reminds me of the custom roms we'd flash to the Samsung Note 3 back in the day of ice cream sandwich. You could get mods that allowed you to do things like this. Always thought that was pretty cool. Nice to see it here. It is nice that it is an option.

Ok, I took a look at how the new icon would display the battery percentage and I think that is a smart way to do it! Love it! I like how elegant this particular aspect of the UI would be.
