On the topic of Lock Screen widgets… is there a way to make the weather widget actually look like in the preview? 😐 In reality, there’s always some “Severe Weather Warning” sitting on the first line, blocking the space, and temperature isn’t being shown where it’s expected (there’s a second line with details but it’s not serving the purpose of displaying the key info at a glance). It’s annoying!

Note - it’s not the severe weather alerts that can be enabled/disabled in Notifications. It’s still displayed no matter what. I don’t really need to see a “Severe High T…” line - I can see that the day high would be over 30°C.

Has anyone managed to alter this? Either I’m not seeing the obvious or it’s not possible… 🤔

I had the same issue, but in French (which makes the warnings even longer)! Did not manage to get rid of them, so dropped the big weather widget and went for two smaller ones instead, like so, which also makes it much easier to glance at quickly:

Question about calendar focus filter. How can I specify which calendar to focus on? Can this be specified so that different focuses filter different calendars?

Yes the rain % is annoying too - it’s not even displayed in the hourly forecast, all day shows “cloudy” even when it’s raining heavily for hours. I compared the same location’s weather on iOS 15 and 16, on version 15 it was displayed correctly, so it’s clearly the weather app being buggy, not the data. - I have reported that via Feedback, please do too, you can perhaps also mention my report id FB10876674 as a reference.

I have a similar issue with the Swiss PostFinance app. Each beta (but only after a reboot) it thinks it's installed on a new device and throws a wobbly.

I assume some AmEx cards check the device it's installed on (maybe by creating a hash including the OS version number - I dunno, just guessing) so when it changes it thinks it's a new device.

FYI, my Postfinance app didn't show that bug, not even after a reboot. Weird.

Is the picture photoshop option still not working in the latest beta for anybody else? Where you can press down on subjects in photos and automatically remove the backgrounds? Didn’t work for me anymore on the last beta and isn’t in this one either. :(

Edit: live text also no longer works for me. I’m assuming these are bugs to where it isn’t registering the finger holds? Can’t select any live text from photos or use the photoshop feature.

My watch updated when I put it on the nightstand around midnight. Just after 1am I received an email from Amex saying
“Your American Express® Card ending in 61xxx was successfully removed from Apple Pay on your watch.

Thank you for your Cardmembership.

Sometimes I feel like Apple gives us this nifty new-ish function then just craps out a so-so widget to put in.

Anybody seeing this issue with AirPods in Find My? Clicking on the link goes to a yet-to-exist Apple support document.

I did at first for a split second, but finally ping’d and found them. I was on Wi-Fi and left my case lid open the whole time.

I have a technical question to all the hardware/software engineers:

When using perspective depth in a lockscreen photo, is it the software that discerns the background from foreground? Or does the photo need a depth map for that to happen?

As many others, I have strange behavior in the weather app. And what’s more strange is that my weather app and lockscreen widget says 0% chance of rain. But when I ask Siri she says 80% chance of rain. And our swedish weatherservice also says 80% chance of rain

Reported all the strange behaviour in the feedback app

I've had the same thing. The widget says 0% while it's raining cats & dogs outside 😆
