Yes I’m sure. I’ve been beta testing since the first iPhoneOS beta. There a no App update at the time. Are you sure the app didn't update at the same time? Can't believe you've ruined my poem with facts.
It hasn’t happened for last 3/4 years though.

I’m wondering if this issue and the other posts about Wifi issues on previous betas could be some weird IPv4 or IPv6 compatibility. I run mostly IPv6 at home, but some servers I connect to will only support v4, and if this sporadic issue could somehow be related to that. Or enforcing certificate behaviors that didn’t work that way before, like not letting people break SSL to do packet inspection. All apps are turned on to use cellular data, I even tried turning a couple off restarting the phone (just in case) then tried to load an app to confirm that I got the error message, then I turned back on cell data for that app and I still have issues with the apps that are not loading. I will try swapping SIM cards with my wife when we get off work today (she uses a different carrier) then I can try with another Verizon user later today also to possibly see if it somehow is on Verizon.
Love that. Can you share?Different horses for different courses I suppose.
I love it. The old way my brain fried looking at a page of things to catch up on, FOMO, or reply to. So I found myself shutting down loads of banners.
Now, I’m slowly reintroducing them, because they can be tucked away and outta my face. Plus you get to see your wallpaper - bonus.
Looks like we now have an eternal sunset bug.
Just go to beta.apple.com, enroll your device and install the public beta profile. Once your phone restarts the update will be there in Settings for you.Alright here’s the “dumb” question of the day for y’all. I’m finally hopping on the shenanigans train with beta 6 but I have no clue how to install it from a windows pc. The version of iTunes I install from apples website gives me the “To update your iPhone to iOS 16.0, you need to install the latest version of iTunes.” But then when I use the MS Store version and I select the ispw to install, absolutely nothing happens.. phone never starts updating and no messages (good or bad) are given from iTunes…
It's working fine on my 13 Pro.Looks like we now have an eternal sunset bug.
I’ve reported that (i.e. the battery drain & empty notification on the lock screen). The ID is FB11281539 in case anyone wants to refer to my feedback. This is obviously a fairly serious bug. Hopefully everyone is logging those reports. Would be good if you all cross-referenced each other too.
I had that issue on the last beta but had been resolved in the latest. No black boxes anymore and no overheating either on the latest beta. Practically zero issues for me besides the one with DirecTV app.If there’s a “black box” on your Lock Screen looking like an empty notification, slide it to the left to get rid of it. This fixed the battery issue and overheating for me.
Was trying to avoid the ota and opt for the ipsw given the (albeit anecdotal) evidence that it’s slightly more stable in regard to battery drain and device temperatureJust go to beta.apple.com, enroll your device and install the public beta profile. Try OTA and if you experience any issues and the IPSW way is the miracle cure you should be able to resolve them regardless of when you update via IPSW. But remember this is a major version upgrade so give it a day or so and do a hard reboot after that before you score one against OTA. If things still aren't settled after a day then you can give IPSW a try.Was trying to avoid the ota and opt for the ipsw given the (albeit anecdotal) evidence that it’s slightly more stable in regard to battery drain and device temperature

Because it needs new files to support iOS 16. On a mac, you can do it by getting xcode beta, on windows, I don't think something like this exists.Alright here’s the “dumb” question of the day for y’all. For those of you who complained about Amex being removed from Wallet, Apple says it works as designed. 🤣🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
It never removed it for me. I wonder why it did that on others phones??
I have a similar issue with the Swiss PostFinance app. Each beta (but only after a reboot) it thinks it's installed on a new device and throws a wobbly. For those of you who complained about Amex being removed from Wallet, Apple says it works as designed. 🤣🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

I assume some AmEx cards check the device it's installed on (maybe by creating a hash including the OS version number - I dunno, just guessing) so when it changes it thinks it's a new device.
