Oddly enough, on my phone, it showed up as just iOS 16.0 (without any beta terminology), so if I were a betting man, I'd say this is the version that's being loaded onto the new iPhones in production right now. That and it's also an "a" build. Obviously it says "beta" in the text description, but I think it would usually show "Beta 7" to the right of "16.0"?

So if you were a betting man I'd like to go all in against you. They'd been doing away with beta labels every now and then with iOS 16. It's weird!

Lol, whoops, thanks for that. Guess I just didn't notice before. Maybe it show before you click install but doesn't show the beta label after it begins installing?

EDIT: I still think this is the version that's going onto iPhones in production though. If the event is 9/7 with phones ready for purchase on 9/16, they have to have the build locked down both internally and externally to developers by late August which we're now into.

Interesting, not sure I’ve seen this before. Must be for that critical security fix. Wonder if any other changes besides that.
