Why don’t everyone just get off their high horse for once and just answer the question?
You all know that there’s no GM anymore and you also understand that the OP meant RC. When there’s no GM both GM/RC designations mean the same thing.

Definitely not on a high horse. Just gets boring reading an out of date terminology, to me anyway. And can/could confuse people. People get constructively corrected on here daily, why not for this?

You need to set it up first in Settings->Photos and then you’ll be able to see it in the Photos app.
The option is there for me in the latest build.
Don’t have that option 🤔🤔🤔

Did you use the beta builds before the RC? I think Apple is flagging people who were on the betas to be able to continue using the feature on the RC, but otherwise, it is unavailable to users who move directly from 15 to the 16 RC.

It’s only confusing if both of them exist. There’s only one now so no matter what terminology someone uses it’s the same. A constructive way of correcting would be by responding with GM/RC anytime someone mentions GM. Just correcting alone would not answer their question.

There’s an article on the front page saying the feature would be unavailable at launch but I do see the option so it’s just as confusing to me.

Like this you mean 😜
I did read your post, why do you think I took the time and replied explaining that the GM terminology isn't used anymore and hasn't for a while. So there's no need to write it like this RC/GM, it just looks confusing to anyone reading it, hence why I explained. Just trying to help you out.

Not exactly. They’ve already used RC/GM so he/she is aware of the current designations. Or the best way to go about this would be a PSA sticky at the top. That way it’ll catch on to everyone eventually.

Anyone else on RC having an issue where if you have the new battery percentage option toggled and you start to charge you phone the percentage will not update correctly? It will update if you stop charging and then reboot but only if you reboot the device

It does update for me on the XS, right now it's stuck at 87%, but that's because Optimized Battery Charging is active at the moment. Will keep an eye on it.

Looks like the Safari screenshot bug is fixed, hopefully I haven't spoke too soon. ;)

iPhone XS:
Battery Health is at 82%
Jumped OTA from 15.6.1 to 16.0 RC. Phone is nice and cool and feels a bit faster and smooth.
No issues to report right now.
I'll report battery life and performance in about a day or so.

Modem firmware on my XS updated to 5.00.01
Wiki updated.

Anyone else suddenly seeing the “iCloud Private Relay not compatible with your network” prompt on the RC?
It worked fine till b8 on a Verizon MVNO.

Still have the feedback app after installing the RC.
That is because you still have the beta profile installed. Delete it if you want to remove the feedback app and stay with iOS 16.0 RC and then iOS 16.0. Keep it if you want to go to the iOS 16.1 beta next. Probably in a weeks time when iOS and iPadOS converge once more.

Feedback app usually goes away once RC is installed and had been the case till now. Weirdly I have the app this time too.

So I mean I was bit of away from these beta things. How do we do now? Install the RC delete the beta profile and enjoy? Or how do I do it 😂
Yes... you need to beta profile to be able to install the RC... then delete the beta profile to get the GA release and/or future GA releases. There will be a new beta profile for future beta cycles.

Yeah…that got old about the 50th time people stated this.
