HomePod is still playing Atmos-compatible Apple Music tracks in Atmos, even with the Home app toggle switched off.

I’m on the RC. I’m glad it’s a full install and not a delta as theoretically that should refresh all the system files during the install. I was still getting horrible, frequent crashes on the most recent betas. Things at least appear stable for the moment on the RC but I’m praying it actually stays this way.

Damn. I think I am the luckiest beta user ever. Had some issues reported, but nothing like a fatal crash throughout the entire 16 Beta Program. Apart from some lack of performance with WiFi on early betas, had some resprings, some minor UI behavior deviations but everything else was fine… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Works fine on my 13 Pro Max. Weather Lock Screen is fine too but useless in Germany. It’s raining for hours and it shows clouds. Haha. Always the same
Since last PB and including RC the weather look screen needs sometimes a half sec. to generate the weather background. Can you confirm?

Also in the RC: If you combine LP Mode to a focus (let's say sleep) and you check it after that, it shows two buttons. One with "enable" (also in german language it shows the english word) and one with "Stromsparmodus" (LowPower Mode). I don't get it why two? Also comes with the last PB.

13 ProMax

On reboot will not hook to WiFi until you do an unlock.
Weather widget and app match (current, high, low) but they are not accurate

Will be going through the Settings later today.

Is the Improved Safety under Privacy > Analytics new?

SO far everything else looks okay 🤞
I believe it’s normal for the phone not to connect to Wi-Fi until after unlocking the first time after a reboot because the phone remains encrypted and it can’t access the stored passwords to log on to any Wi-Fi networks.

Hi, I have a question, can I install clean iOS 16 when it come out if I still use beta?

Do I need to remove beta profile first?

Anyone able to use the Apple TV remote app on their phone? It’s been missing for awhile. I tried repairing with my Apple TV but still same issue.

Works for me with the ATV 4K.

Edit: NOT the app, but the Remote function within the Control Center of iOS.

Actually your experience is probably similar to most beta testers. No one (for the most part) is posting in these forums to say how good it is!

If you’ve installed the Release Candidate and the public version of iOS 16 is the exact same build, you will not be able to install the public version using the normal methods, as you will already have that build installed. But you can restore to an IPSW version of it after its released. I don’t think you’ll need to remove the profile to do so.

So would have reinstalling a beta using the IPSW file. And probably sorted your issues a long time ago.

That’s because it’s linked to the profile on your phone. Delete the profile and will disappear. Reinstall the profile, it appears.
Nah! It disappears with the install of the RC before and probably only lingered once in the last few years during the betas for me. Only appears back once an actual beta is installed.
I'd see others having the Fb app linger around after the RC in the past though but never for me.

Not exactly. They’ve already used RC/GM so he/she is aware of the current designations. Or the best way to go about this would be a PSA sticky at the top. That way it’ll catch on to everyone eventually.

I’m just saying if something changes its name, Dave to Danielle, Apple Computer Inc to Apple, GM to RC… use it. That’s their/the name. People get corrected here all the time when someone says something incorrect, so be it, that’s this forums nature. Doesn’t mean their on a high horse!

Haven’t noticed this before until RC, but that's not holding the phone at 80% is it….?

Call it what you like.
When you update to RC from a beta the Fb app disappears. RC isn’t immune to the Fb app as installing the profile on any build would bring back the app. But we can circle back to it after 16.1, 16.2 RC with our observations.
If the behavior’s changed in iOS 16 that’s another thing but it wasn’t the case until iOS 15. You can do a quick search in iOS 15 forums and can confirm for yourself. Shouldn’t take more than 10 mins.

Dave to Danielle part seems political and off topic so I can’t continue this further as per the forum rules. Apologies!
