That’s what I tried to do… I couldn’t seem to make it work.
I totally got that and appreciate it (and it was awesome to see you do it in the video, hah!)

....but I still think for "always on" mode, whether day or night time, the icons themselves are limited and need to be much bigger to see at a quick glance. Also, not introducing color (or very limited tones) is less distracting to others. A larger icon with the number of alerts somehow overlayed on top of the icon would work well IMHO.

The dimmed "light grey/white on black screen" method Nokia used with their Windows phone was so modern and understated versus the brightness of the "on" home screen. And again, at night, propped up on a stand next to my bed, completely replaced any need for an easily visible clock that didn't light up the whole room.

One thing few seem to mention:

Better control over Optimized battery charging.

It would be a fine feature, but it relies too much on ML to adapt to everyday’s use, especially if one has a flexible daily routine, and if they don’t write down all their daily duties on their iPhone.

Let me set the hour by which to finish the charging.

Or even let me lock the iPhone at a given charging level.

Apple could’ve brought always on display for years.. they haven’t, so I doubt that’s coming now.

Notification syncing needs to happen ASAP.
Not every version of iPhone still active had the proper screen though, correct? Not that this should stop them from making it available on just the newer phones, but maybe that's a reason?

Extended functionality for the focus modes would be much appreciated:
Let me (if I want to) share which focus mode exactly I am using beyond DNDWD. E.g. friends and family shall know if I am at university or if I am at work and therefore can anticipate how long I wont be taking a look at my messages.

The Pro Mode is on top of my wish list. Currently on the verge of selling my 12.9” iPad Pro and iMac and getting 14” MBP and iPad mini because the weigh of the 12.9” is a little heavy for holding in one hand when just browsing the web.
Pro mode would me circumvent the MBP (dont need the sheer power as a uni student) and just the the ipad mini along side to take with me on the go. However, as my example “proofs”, I dont think Apple is going that road because then people will just buy one device instead of two, sadly.

Hahahahah, really? LOL!

We are only 2 weeks away. I'm surprised we have not seen serious any leaks about the iOS and mac OS. This is what happens when everything is being done virtually.

For software, the leaks start usually when Apple starts sharing build of the new version with outsiders. And most years there are no big leaks until we’re inside a week from the event. Until then it’s much easier to trace who’s doing the leaking.

Expect more soon.

My head hurts just watching that...and the way the graphics "create" what he really wants to show, I couldn't see it long enough to understand what the changes are.
To be fair, that’s exactly what Apple do. I think it’s to purposefully confuse the brain into believing there’s more changes than they are, as you can’t follow them 😆
