iOS 16 Speculation Thread

My wish list which has mostly been unchanged since at least iOS 13 sadly …

  • Notification Sync
  • Delete all button!!! for iMessage attachments (especially photos) and a fix to actually reflect the correct size of iMessage storage data
  • Additional iMessage features which go beyond Memojis to get on par with WhatsApp, Signal etc
  • Browser Notifications like on Mac or Android
  • Opt-In to share the actual Focus status
  • Disable multi-tasking on iPad. Those 3 dots are annoying OR improved multi tasking with windows like on Mac for that matter
  • System toggles to enable / disable FaceID / TouchID lock for any app
  • Photos should add a small icon to the thumbnails to easily spot, which photos have already been sorted into albums. I love this on android. It should also show in photo details, which albums the photo is part of
  • Profiles on Safari
  • Weather App on iPad - what a missed opportunity with last years redesign on iOS

I think the rumor was that the Pros were going to be a little taller to accommodate the hole punch and pill? I don't remember exactly.

I see what you're saying now...but I think that is just an optical illusion due to the case on the way right not being line up properly with the one right next to it. I think the sizes are identical (width/height) and just the camera opening is different.

EDIT: Just grabbed the pic and threw into PowerPoint since I had that opened and did a quick copy/paste of arrows and the size is identical

Arrghh… don’t mention it not being lined up… I have a sudden urge to photoshop the picture into oblivion…

Given the ridiculous amount of manual controls available on Sony and Samsung devices its about time Apple at the very least put some professional into its allegedly 'Pro' phones and followed suit. A 5x Prism zoom would be nice on the Max model as there isn't much on 3x you can't just walk towards to get closer to. Some better editing options would be nice too like batch editing in Photos or a new version of Aperture.

This would be a tiny improvement but quite useful:

Let the battery widget show us the levels of other Apple devices nearby (ex. macs od iPads on my iPhone).

My suggest that I think would look better and use up less space is to put the number of messages in a red badge like you would see if you were on the home screen. Having the message count closer to the icon makes it easier to see.
