Agree! Highly unlikely this year. We are pretty much done with the iOS 16 updates. We can expect iOS 16.2.1 sometime in the mid of January but it will be a small security/performance update.
Don’t you think, if there are some notorious bugs (like one affecting the Dynamic Island I just saw on the iOS 16.2 thread) Apple could release this 16.2.1 in a week to fix them before Christmas?

What are we expecting for iOS 16.4? Are there announced or unannounced iOS 16 features still missing from 16.2?

For the millions of "normal users", iOS 17 won't be released until mid september.
Besides the Apple Classical Music features/app that was supposed to have been released, was there anything else that we're missing from Apple's announcements on what to expect this year?
Not even that. With the rapid response update, any security matter will be done through this new update tool.

I strongly believe Apple won't be releasing any more updates until next year unless it's an emergency update. That's still highly unlikely. I think the next public release we will see will be next year. Possibly the 2nd week of January, 2023.

Even I'm surprised how fast 16.2 is. Didn't think I'd notice but it is a lot smoother on the UI.
