iOS 16 Speculation Thread

On the plus side a beta the week of the 2nd should be all but guaranteeable seeing as there isn’t any (major) holiday falling on a business day that week :)

Anyway, there’ll always be another beta around the corner. I hope everyone can relax and enjoy the present moment this holiday season. 🥰

The 2nd is the observed holiday for New Year's Day, because it's on a Sunday. There's a good chance we see nothing until January 10th.

Oh, I always get off the beta train with the release before the holidays. Will stay on 16.2 for a while, probably back in January tough.

Yeah, likewise. Last thing I want to do is install the current beta and be stuck with an annoying bug for the entire holidays.

Time to enjoy the boring, reliable nature of release software. :)

Yeah this beta is smooth sailing on my phone and iPad. We definitely lucked out.

Better Performance and battery life. Apple haven’t utilized performance via software for years(since iOS 12)

I don’t think you are going to see better performance. These phones are already very fast. But even today’s news is taking about increasing battery life. But it not going to be immediately. I think you have what you have in iOS 16.

I really hope Apple doesn’t wait until the second week of January for beta 2. With everyone working from home I think a month is enough time to get beta 2 out as beta 1 is pretty buggy.

Is there anything new in 16.3? I haven’t seen anything so far.

Deffo 16.2.1 this week to fix the screen glitch issue that some are experiencing since 16.2. One day they might even fix the stuttering
 
I was curious about the thread title, so i read a few posts. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max as my iOS 16 device, and overall my experience has been pretty seamless. I've see problems regarding the newer devices being reported and some older as well. I just haven't any kind of big issues personally. Running iOS 16.2 currently.
