Hopefully 16.4 beta fixes battery drain I've had on my 14PM even with a clean restore. FindMy constantly runs in background. Only getting 6-7 hours of SOT.
I think it is more than feasible that they launch it tomorrow, so they take some attention away from the S23.
Samsung releases a new phone. Apple releases a new beta with a new emoji 😂
Apple's new beta with emoji will still get more press and excitement than samsung's new phone.

How often does Apple release a first beta on a Wednesday? I'm going to guess we get it early next week.
I think we have a higher chance of them dropping it tomorrow than waiting another week.
At this point I’d believe we may not see it until later in February as Apple only has one software engineer.
For me I just want off 16.3 as it’s been the worst version of iOS I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been on every one since iPhoneOS 2!
I told you the other day that the release I am waiting for is iOS 17 Beta 1. I hope that one will work correctly. But at this pace, the beta’s might come out by the first week of June!😂😂

I have all the same setting. The only one I didn't turn off is significant locations as I read somewhere around here and on website that it had to be on for optimised battery charging to work . If you think about it it makes perfect sense .
OC worked for me if I charged with a cable and SL was off.
iOS 17 beta might be out before 16.4 drops.

Yes, optimized charging needs the important places to work. What I think you can do is that once they have been collected and you see that the optimized charging is activated, disable their collection without deleting the history, to see if it continues to work.
in my case, the collection of important places does not have any impact on the autonomy of my device.
