🦗 It's quiet here today.

Does everyone know when the iOS 16.4 RC is out? will it be today or tomorrow

FWIW I'm seeing excessive Battery Drain on my S7 Apple Watch running watchOS 9.3.1

I was thinking about jumping on the Beta builds to see if this was any better.. Guess not
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like you suffer from battery drain on your device and now watch… is it an app on both devices that could be doing this?

My iPhone battery has been pretty great on the most recent beta. I keep my Watch on release OS and don't include a lot of apps. I was getting almost 36 hours on a single charge, but now I'm lucky to get thru ½ a day.

Agree. This is definitely out of nowhere and not with any new apps of note. My Ultra with the same apps is doing its normal 48-ish hours; my Hermes S8 normally goes 36-ish hours as well but not lately.

Really hoping for tomorrow (I have meetings Wednesday). But either way I hope it’s at least one more beta and then RC earlier next week. :) I think 16.4 has real potential—it just needs a bit longer in the proverbial oven.

What does that mean?
TheYayAreaLiving was suggesting Tuesday, but the last beta came out Wednesday last week after tvOS came out Tuesday. Thats a sign that the other four OSs was delayed for some reasons. MacOS for example and also iOS/IPadOS had a rather serious issue with the following.
  • Fixed browser.webNavigation events firing for hosts where the extension didn’t have access. Extensions should request host permissions for sites to receive events. (100204850)
I saw web pages in Safari 16.4 not respond to hosts and panic a few times on two previous betas on M1 Macs. Didn't play enough with how that worked out on iPadOS Safari 16.4, but its like you need to be more sure with another beta then say lets go RC shortly. But thats up to Apple. So I am leaning to another beta this Wednesday or Thursdays, with maybe a RC middle of next week. TvOS people still having issues with HomeKit it seems.

Never suggested that, just didn't think it would be 1 less working day then a week apart for this week's beta. ;)
The thing is I don't want to wait till Wednesday. Can you do something to make today go away? Now, what am I supposed to do until Wednesday?

My fingers are crossed Apple surprises us today. If not then I'm going to stay home and be a couch potato.

I’ve been out from beta from a while and a bit lost with the changes , is it still possible to install a beta or RC with a developer profile ? Thanks

I am reasonably certain it will be today. Whatever caused an apparent late release last week occurred before last week. My guess is that Apple will want to get back on schedule and will release today. And it will likely, though not certainly, be a release candidate.

What you feeling, same build number or a small change?
