Monday is the most popular day for updates, because you have the week to fix anything that crops up.
Release on a Friday say, you may have no staff or it ruins a weekend for developers or expensive freelancers to come in.

Dev betas are seeds they don’t specifically have a day of the week that is the most common, could drop ona Friday with the PB seed on the following Monday. If it happens today exactly a week it means the development is running well instead of problems delaying the sending intervals.
But if we consider exactly what you stated with public releases Monday is the most likely day for that. So maybe next Monday.

Found this guy on Twitter. Seems to be posting build numbers of new iOS releases early, and has supplied a supposed build number for 16.4.1 which would suggest release is imminent if it has a final build number.
Another Tweet suggests no new iOS 16.5 beta this week.
There the possibility of just using Apple’s software hot-fix system introduced in 16.4, instead of a point release.

Oh, I didn’t know that mechanism was specifically introduced in 16.4 You’re referring to “Rapid Security Response” that has been used in several beta releases?
Yes we had 3 beta cycles with it present along with first test I think during 16.2 and a second test furring 16.4. Got to be ready by now.

Less than an hour left. I hope Apple surprises us with a new beta today. My fingers are crossed.
Who knows? But I don't feel like it 🤷♂️
This is a rare instance where I hope we don't get a new beta and they instead put out 16.4.1 to fix the weather issues
Even with the issues, using weather on iPhones is not unusable that I see, just needs some quicker response from host.

The weather issues were server side related. It was showing on their status page a few days ago and folks on 16.3 (older) were also having issues.

It is quite likely that we’re still on a 2 week schedule. But not because users think “somethin’ need fixin’”
