Think about what you just typed. Are you privy to why an update would be imminent or not?

It is quite likely that we’re still on a 2 week schedule. But not because users think “somethin’ need fixin’”
I was more so talking about 16.4.1. Everyone is panicked about the weather app but I don't think that is significant enough that we have to see something this week.

The weather issues are likely server based as they seem to be affecting users on different versions of iOS. It’s also marked as an issue in Apple’s “down” page.

yeah everyone is thinking 16.4.1 is to fix the weather app. I mean it is really odd that we would have another update this soon, the only time you see that is after a like major update like Ios 16 or 17

I believe the 16.4.1 possibility is coming more from here. https://www.macrumors.com/2023/04/04/ios-16-4-1-expected-soon/
Its been discussed at length that the weather issue is affecting more OS's than just iOS16.4. Even evidence posted on Apples status page earlier.

The last time it was speculated like this in a minor version, I don't remember what it was, I think it took about two weeks from the articles and videos saying it was on the way until it was released. I think the same thing will happen with this one, and I think the week starting April 17 is a good in-between time to launch it between 16.4 and 16.5.
However, the errors that they say that it solves make me doubt whether it can really be launched, because the weather app works, what fails are the servers. The wifi, although it is true that one night I was disconnected, I don't know why, it has not failed anymore, so I put it as an occasional problem and not an error itself.

Still B2 could drop this week like today, yes it seems more likely next week, all the commotion cause by weather app host mostly resolved yesterdat making a point release not urgent. :)

I don’t think that a 16.4.1 is being released to fix the weather app. There were other issues (emoji, etc…) that might need to be patched. But the weather thing appears to be server side, which does not yet appear to be fully resolved (the Apple Weather widget is functioning again, but CarrotWeather still needs to pull data from another source).

This summarizes exactly what I was thinking as well

While the Beta 2 is likely Tuesday, this weekend is still a normal workweek in the states, banks and post office are open. So it’s up to Apple with 16.4.1. ;)
Good Friday is not a federal holiday however it is holiday in some 12 states and some banks and credit unions do close as well as some professional offices. Easter Monday is also a state holiday in 2 or 3 states in addition to a number of countries around the world.
